Cool, but kinda the opposite of what OP is asking…

If you haven’t already (and if your GPU supports it), enable “AMD super resolution” in graphic options. It mimicks a higher resolution while actually running a lower one. You may want to try different levels though, any setting below high quality may possibly cause ugly effects with transparencies and sniper optics.
