While yes the laucher would help in dislodging camping tanks it would also allow a single squad to lock down the entire vehicle spawn when camping in a ditch or a bush while tankers have no way to counterplay or at leased dimish the chances the odd of beeing ambushed.
TNT and mines can be avoided (accidental or not) or destroyed if spoted so they can be countered.
This makes those ambushes both skillfull and even fair for the tankers as these traps require the proper setup first.
But if you give AT laucher access to the greyzone there is little a tank could do should a guerilla camp the spawn. The camper can hide behind cover and only show himself once the tank has passed his position and just nuke the tank from afar with only minimal setup without any guesswork for the route of the tank and thus there would be little a tank could do to counteract the guerillas even if they didnt suffered from their impared vision.
Tell that to my German teams in BRII there is plenty of PZ III N camping in the back racking up kills from the grey zone, hell if i just need score to get the event done im also slining HE from near the ammo dump for easy 50-60 kills with low effort.
That is a good thing if the grey zone camper tanks get blown to pieces by Guerilla … just make sure the squad isnt behind a paywall like the paratroopers.
Time to camp at my spawn with binoculars so not a single guerilla bastard could kill me anyway. Or i could just use planes that have all pros of tanks but with not a single cons of those steel boxes.
Cons anti kamikaze system and just 1 plane of each type so in some match you can’t get into your plane because someone take it for the full match but still in the bottom of the classement
I love the fact that this is designed to directly take on the tanks that like to camp in the grey zone. Since I play BR2 exclusively, it’s particularly galling when I see a Sherman doing it (and to me, I don’t care if it’s an enemy tank or a friendly).
Glad to see the Devs addressing one of the…let’s call it a “loophole” in the game.
