I’m curious. What sort of BR will you prefer to play in most of the time? Considering, that the proposed tech tree will stay the way it is now (it won’t but that is, what we have to work with now).
I fully expected to stay in low BRs most of the time, because I enjoy bolties and not getting exploded and set on fire so much. And only play in higher BRs, when I’m in the mood for some sweat. But looking at the new tech tree, the low tiers look a bit too barebones for my taste after all.
Right now, I don’t think I want to play below tier 3. Most importantly, that’s when explosion packs become available and I don’t want to play without those. Anti-tank rifles just suck too much. And other decent anti-tank weaponry also becomes available at that level. And then it’s also the first level, when MGs and CAS become available.
T-28, T-50, Grant, PPS 42&43, Vickers-Berthier, Carcano Mod. 38, Beretta M38, Sten and M3A1 are all perfectly enjoyable to play with. But most of my favourite weapons don’t come until later. I’m guessing I will have to buy a whole bunch of preset slots and play in many different tiers.
Normally I’d say low & mid tier. Occasionally high, depends if it will be a sweatfest.
But since devs placed mid tier weapons very high I’m not sure any more.
i would prefer if they removed smg from first 2 tiers. that way we could get some pure BA experience.
i will play all tiers depending on the mood. i am specially happy that i can take low/mid tanks without fear of ending against some invulnerable end game tank.
At first. think BRs will different from ranks, as in WT.
And at second - near all will play in any match, until online low.
Only full newbies will play separately.
If short- in 90% matches, balance will be as now (all weapons in one match), but less one-side matches (as now in Tunisia).
But if online go up - we will get like 3 stable tiers, no idea when.
I wanted to have a set up for lower tier but the current battle ratings that they have listed makes it look pretty clear it won’t be viable in the way I was hoping to do it. I think the numbers are going to get played with a lot, and until everything settles down I’ll probably just be in max BR.
more or less yes. i didnt see any planned hard limits to BR MM so theoretically you could end up in t10 match with t1 squad in off peak hours.
it will all depend on distribution of players across tiers. some tiers will be more populated so you will have ±0 or ±1 MM, while empty tiers will have ±4 MM even in peak hours.
i am hoping they will introduce tier of match and tier of players in replay so i can see those data. i am really interested to see distribution of matches/players.
edit:
btw my calculation was based on average, so it is full of errors and should be taken with grain of salt.
They haven’t actually said as much, I was just operating off the forum helper post from before they released the table saying the M2 Carbine would be out of range of matching with anything Japan currently has. With that in mind, the M2 is BR 10 and the top BR items that Japan has are BR 7. With that information we can extrapolate that you can potentially uptier up to twice while still not matching with the M2 Carbine, of course that doesn’t mean for sure you can uptier twice either. So it’s either one in every direction (queue at tier 5 and get 4-5-6) or two in every direction (queue at tier 5 and get 3-4-5-6-7).
Personally I think the latter is what we are going to see.
