That would be pretty weak. Isnt that just a different sight and is still semi auto only with a 15 round mag? Would hardly compare with a FG42 II
Yet its like sole rifle troopers can get here.
Since the Johnson rifle is already Premium, I guess US get JMG as Premium too.
I mean on the other hand US get 100 drum Tommy. Dont know though why the Germans got the MP43 before MKb42.
Remington model 8 maybe?
Btw Germans also eventually get the Panzerjäger IV.
I mean why not just add the Johnson LMG? lol its literally the counter part to the FG42. I mean there is nothing else close that was actually used. I dont know why people are opposed to it so heavily besides a historical reason but that seems out the window already
Bara1 also function somewhat like fg42 as well
MKB 42 will probably be solely for Moscow. It essentially stayed on the Eastern front and the MP43/MP44/StG44 took over
Yes but it was far heavier. The Johnson LMG was light weight and used by paratroopers. 20 round magazine, bipod. Its literally a US equivalent to the FG42
Well. We also get rifle nades at level 33. I wouldnt wonder at all. Or they just give us the “sniper” variant.
The American M41 Johnson LMG has many parallels with the contemporary FG 42. Both had in-line stocks, fed from the left side, and both fired from the open bolt in automatic mode and closed bolt in semi-automatic mode. Despite these similarities, there is no evidence that either weapon had any effect on the design of the other. As they were both seeking to solve similar problems, it is reasonable to expect that each weapon’s respective engineers approached these problems similarly but independently, unaware of the developments of their counterparts.
I think alot of people will point to its historical use in Normandy which is none (but it was used in lower France by the Devils brigade). To me that seems pointless now with the Jumbo, M2 carbine and allll the other non historical things. The 1941 Johnson LMG is the FG42 counterpart for the US
