Thanks for having a constructive discussion amidst this with me by the way
It takes less time to grind out the entire Japans TT than it does to unlock the Tiger 2.
I can guarantee you, when (and if) the devs make a Manchuria map for Soviets vs Japs on high BRs, the japs will wipe out Soviets 9 times out of 10
yea sure no problem anytime
only thing Japan needs is assaulter engineers like soviets and germans have and MORE MAPS
Bump for more maps, something I think they could do is make “mini campaigns” that only have a small section and 2-3 variations. But release them more often, this would add so much variety to the map pool and we would still have the big ones
Japan needs some serious update.
I do really like these suggestions but i firmly believe that the thing that hurts japan most and the reason it’s so underpopulated is the lack of map variety. That being said, the things that person suggested should definitely be added/looked into
Among those there are many things that have been ignored, there are many classic vehicles that have not seen action in the game yet. What are they waiting? Who knows?
Meanwhile you can discuss if bolt action rifles are the best on Japan, but if you check the stats, there are no real difference between bolt actions in any faction, being for me the most effective the M93, but in the papers even the Winchester has more power or the “dragoon”.
They could have used their “event team” and put them to work on some substantial upgrade for the forgotten faction.
It also makes less fun.
Like Pacific would make the game more popular while in reality Japan is so unpopular that they never achieve the soft BR rule and US players hate Pacific maps.
So… sure… I guess…
with what stolen Soviet gear, bought German gear sorry no thank you
as for planes and tanks,
target i mean tanks are welcome
as for planes sorry but can tell the difference between a lot of them
but also we dont need a glut of twin and quad engine planes carpet bombing the map
you do know why there are like six Thompsons and four bars that are iconic
what does japan have
Japanese do get the fastest firing bolt-action rifle, second only to the Winchester, as their second unlock, and unlike the Winchester, it has a bayonet. That being said, bolt-actions really are a personal taste thing. Personally the Mosin Nagant M91/30 is my favorite BA rifle, even though it is technically inferior to the Winchester, I still perform better with it
I think you might be overestimating the size of the studio. I’m pretty sure they don’t have anywhere near enough capacity to dedicate groups of people to each individual segments of the game; there’s no “event team”
I was referencing this clown.
Yes, the “fastest” bolt action etc etc, we are saying the same, don’t stumble on that.
If you consider slogging through 13 different versions of the same panzer with a slight twist “fun” then be my guest
I’m not sure what you’re saying here
If you can scroll, scroll three messages back.
Personally, I like to have different events like the current Halloween event: It’s something that’s completely different from the regular game (the zombies, a different reward system, different weather effects (like the Japanese map with the hurricane effects)), while incorporating the same maps, weapons, etc. It breaks up the monotony of the regular game and gives everybody something new to experience.
The event also gives us an opportunity to see how the game “could be” if certain changes were made—for example, if there were no gray zone in the regular game. I really HATE the gray zone in the regular game. It just kills your ability to flank properly. I wish they would open up the entire map in regular games. It would make a huge difference to employ proper tactics.
I know this would kill the special abilities of the guerrillas, but it would be easy to just give them other special abilities to improve the game overall—for everybody. It would be a good tradeoff. I’m not going to waste my time trying to think of different special abilities that would replace gray zone entry; however, I’m sure the community could come up with some pretty good ideas.
Anyway, nobody is forcing you to play the event. It’s just an additional option for those of us who prefer a break from the regular game. No harm done, so I simply don’t understand all the drama regarding this temporary event.
FYI, your title states, “What we could’ve had.” Yet, you make absolutely no suggestions for a replacement of the current event. Thus, your title makes no sense and it needs to be updated. I’m not trying to attack you, I’m just stating a fact!
I thought that was really clear that we could have had some update on Japan, clearly it’s a tricky read, maybe because english is not my born language.
Anyway, i do understand what you mean, all those changes we can try them on real matches, and not weirdly limited event zones, same with the atmosphere and weather.
I have no problem with the event, i had no problem with the other event, it’s the whole concept of battle pass, wasting a month, many returning and new bugs that really need work, the cringy skins, and many other things.
The last event got night time, have you seen night time implemented? Exactly.
Apparently, a large portion of the player base sees this as more entertaining and fün or at least does not see it as reason not to play said factions.
(And at least all Panzer IV version are better than 99% of Japan’s tanks)
Nobody plays Japan. Nobody played Japan before. Nobody will play Japan in the future.
Would not be my favourite, but i have no problem on playing with Japan, but i have finished my research on every faction.
Many veterans are playing the event 'cause there is nothing else to do, i personally don’t feel attracted to the whole “under/other/out of this world” fest.
I do, other people do. Just not as many as on other nations. Main reason, as I said before, is the lack of map variety
good thing they don’t go up against each other then eh?
I love planes, and i can only use one fighter on BRV Japan…
