Taking a step back and looking at distance, this event was clearly a loss of time, manpower, and many et ceteras dev related.
The sides are clear, and many are not on board while a little spot of the community is all in for this kind of stuff.
My real problem is, the whole event that we don’t need or ask for, with prizes and stuff that are extremely cringe for a WW2 game and a system that is insufferable, while Japan is dying forgotten. That takes me to my second problem, and question, why would ever make a faction if you are going to keep it in their bones? And i am not talking about guns, i am talking about the planes and the tanks, and some event squads to counter the extreme difference among the only enemy that JAPAN has…
Anyway i was just venting,

We don’t “need” any event- and as for who asked for it, people like me, I love skins and unique events. This is the most fun I’ve had in enlisted in a year.

Japan wins most games at Br 2 as well- they have extremely strong weapons
Imagine this was a zombie game and they had a ww2 event.

Last time I checked Japan got a squad in the zombies event
Japan sucks as faction because they are the least developed (real-life) nation in terms of ground weapons, resulting in lots of stuff in the TT that is not iconic and/ or only decent because of artificial gun buffs. Wood tank is nice and all but why grinding eternity for a wooden TD if you can get the IS2 or the Tiger 2?
And their planes suck ass because they start from the “ground” and are overtiered.
If the devs ever make them play against the Soviets, it will kill them quicker because the Soviets would nuke their tanks with APHE and Fäuste back to hell and wipe the ground clean with their superior autos.
At this point it looks like they have half a team for everything.

Fair point, they do suffer in quite a few ways. But their bolt action rifles are unmatched
