Every country faction has a Thompson, USA/UK, USSR and now Japan. What Thompson would be good for Axis.
.
As sexy as the Persuader is it never entered production making it a bad choice. So what gun would be a good choice for the third reich.

Like any country germany used captured weapons like the thompson. the trouble is avoiding copy paste with guns already in the game.

The 9mm BSA Thompson was manufactured in England and tested in January 1927 by the CEV as a candidate for French service. This weapon, and various other Colt Thompsons tested earlier, was not selected due to high cyclic rates, and failures experienced during testing. A good choice different enough from the BSA Thompson already in the game which is a 45 and not 9mm. different then the bsa1929 in game but perhaps identical to the bsa1926.
The 1923 is also a model offered to France and could have fallen into Axis hands, if you can think of another Thompson good for axis use post below.

Germany could get MMP(translates to military model SMG) it was a german Thompson that was tested by Weimar republic and its quiet different that normal Thompsons and uses different ammo a longer variant of .45 APC

Also Germany tested a regular Thompson named MP

They also tested a auto-ordnances self-loading rifle(Only semi-auto)

Let’s focus on giving the US a Thompson on par with the Sovie Thompson, and an M3 Halftrack while we’re at it, before letting the Axis get their grubby hands on .45 ACP greatness

As I say basic captured weapons shouldn’t be added, because if you want your enemy’s weapon go hunt it down yourself. We can’t just give Germany a M1A1 Thompson
However special cases are certainly acceptable. Purchased models, tested models, even captured from countries that wouldn’t be a playable faction. For example, if a specific Thompson variant was used by Belgium pre-conquest then it would be fair game for Germany

None, there’s no need for them to have Thompson
I mean the MMP does seem pretty cool if it was tested in the weimar republic, used a different ammo, and has a different appearance
Don’t give italy captured thompsons though

Wow exactly how I would describe adamnpee
I agree with you.
I just didn’t like the premise of the topic. Adding Thompson to German faction just for the sake of Germans getting Thompson.
German soldier with a captured Thompson model 1921

Personally, I think Dark Force should allow players to pick up and keep X amount of enemy guns off the battlefield, and use them in their line up. For example, maybe a German could pickup and keep two Thompsons, two semi auto’s and two machine guns for a total of six captured weapons for that players inventory, or what ever total DF would determine. This would negate the need to build a special captured gun for each faction.
The point was that every other faction already had a Thompson, I too opposed every faction having a version of every iconic weapon, but I found it funny almost every faction had a Thompson which to be blunt while sexy is hell is a Sub par smg
China (mainly the communists) had a habbit of converting Thompsons to accept PPS magazines since they had a lot of spare 7.62 Tokarev ammo. Japan has a lot of Chinese weapons already, so I could see them using it.
