What needs to happen to Meteor?

Unless you can pull those sources out to confirm it, I have a hard time believing that, as many sources also cite the Freiburg archive (Including the one I just linked) and basically never mention the double 500kgs.

Incorrect was 1200-1500 of FACTORY this of the 900 was modifications to weaken the weapon, not for nothing did the MG42 beat the MG34/41

And the name of the Me 262 in Enlisted should be A-2 not A-1

This was the initial run of the MG 42, as the war dragged on, it became more and more common to see the MG 42 in the 900rpm configuration.

This is blatantly incorrect, the A-2 is a completely separate plane, which can be easily identified by the fact it only has a single pair of 30mms in the nose. The 262s we have in game have 4 30mms or a single 50mm in the nose.

The Me 262 Stormbird: From the Pilots Who Flew, Fought, and Survived It by Colin D. Heaton and Anne-Marie Lewis (Zenith Press, 2012) This book compiles testimonies from Luftwaffe pilots who flew the Me 262, including the A-2a variant. Several pilots, such as Major Walter Nowotny and Oberleutnant Wolfgang Schenck, describe missions in which the Me 262 A-2a carried two 500 kg bombs to attack Allied bridges, vehicle columns, and fortified positions. The book also mentions that this configuration, while effective against ground targets, reduced the aircraft’s speed, making it more vulnerable to enemy fighters during the attack.

A2 is Sturmvogel not Jabo….

Error should be A-2a Jabo

In some configurations, but they could also have 4 30mm cannons.

No that is correct, swallow is the A1 and has 4 30mms as said in that screenshot. the A1 could be used in ground attack in the R/6 “Jabo” (Jagdbomber) field modification, not r/4 as I stated early, the different between Sturmvogel and Swallow is that swallow has 4 cannons while Sturmvogel has 2

Ok fine, we are at an impass about the bomb load, but even your own book says only the A2 can carry it, and the A2 variant is explicitly not one of the 262 variants we have. In the book you provided, it explicitly says the Me 262 A-2a is the “Definitive bomber version retaining only the two lower 30mm (1.18-inch) MK 108s.”, therefore we can explicitly say that the version in game is not incorrectly named, and thus not missing any armaments.

Upon further review of this source, you are explicitly incorrect.

Guess somebody overlooked the weight beeing in pounds instead of kg like they usually would be for german aircraft.

Measurements in both kg and lb are provided in the first screenshot if any clarification is necessary.

The Kikka isn’t “based on” any 262 - the configuration perhaps, but it is 80% the size of the 262

No it doesn’t. I have he A-2a - it is an old event vehicle and quite rare these days, and it carries 1 x 500 or 2 x 250kg bombs as it’s only options - Me 262 A-2a | War Thunder Wiki.

it also has reduced gun armament of only 2 x 30mm MK108’s

First event I ever participated in and lucked out with great rewards in those days!

Reviewing ALL the information I already saw my mistake, I apologize, so the appropriate thing would be to convert the Me 262 of the game into an A-2a

Or add it as another option for the attacker slot.

It would be the right thing to do, but knowing the developers, how long this could take, or how they could use it as an excuse to not add “new” content. The best thing would be to change the Assignment of the Me 262 and add the other Bomb to After all there were A-2A Jabo with 4 Cannons too although they were not standard

Evidence?

There are isolated records of A-2as retaining all 4 cannons on missions where air-to-air combat was expected after dropping the bombs. For example, a report from KG(J) 51 on October 1944 mentions an A-2a that carried two 500 kg bombs and retained all 4 MK 108 cannons during a bridge attack mission on the Western Front. The report notes that the aircraft “was noticeably slower and less maneuverable until it dropped the bombs,” but the cannons were useful in fending off P-47 Thunderbolt fighters after the attack.

Link?

'cos while apparently some had gun ports they did not have the extra guns, and as noted they did not carry 2 x 500kg bombs either.
