i literally make one dive, and then i die.
I try to remain above 1000 meters when dropping bombs, and i still die
i do not know what kills me
if it is an actual enemy fighter what the heck am i supposed to do?
keep going 40 matches with no tail gunners because the game is doing the best it can to push me to go premium to get things faster?
if it is an AA cannon what can i do instead? try to dodge the bullets with a bomber?
the plane i am talking about is the sb 2m in Moscow
does everybody just dies like me? or am i missing something?
hard to answer if you dont know whats klling you. Next time you die look at the kill feed
If its a fighter, you have to be watching out for them. cant ignore them. Have to try and gun them down First before you bomb…or just bomb and accept you are on borrowed time
Tail gunners wont help you much if you just let other planes get on your six
AA guns…you are at the mercy of the aa gunner
#note…i just saw you said SB 2m bomber…yup…bomb until you unlocked gunners lol. Or play a different plane to level the squad (I dont even know if you can do that. Is Pe-3 Same squad?)
No. Most are armed. the ones that arent are generally pretty manueverable. I just chase fighters in the Ju 188 and laugh as the front gunners kill them lol. (cant say Ive tried it in the SB 2 but I imagine similar results)
In WT the SB-2 is extremely maneuverable and can foot it easily with 2nd generation monoplanes like the 109E’s - the 2 x ShKAS front guns are fantastic!
To answer the OP - the purpose of bombers is to bomb - but lacking bombsights (AFAIK - would be a serious SMH moment to learn otherwise!!) you are guessing, so most people bomb at very low altitude to get some semblance of accuracy.
the problem is instead of making the plane better they just kept making the kill zone bigger, i see the icons land 50m away and all but the smallest bombs kill some or all of my soldiers, so i would be up for them boosting bombers if they nerfed the bombs
it starts with flaps, all the way down with entire wings getting cutted of or lose the tail for using the wrong flaps and/or diving at full speed from high attitudes.
early war to mid planes weren’t really durable ( or rather, supposed to ) dive that fast.
the purpose is to be waste of your time and resources. And food for other air players. Most of them are extremely bad compared something like the P-40 with the 250kg bomb
