What is the point of sniper SVT-40 vs sniper SVT-38?

Hi

It seems like the SVT-40 is just an SVT-38 that is more expensive to upgrade, I have max rank SVT-38 and SVT-40, and they are almost exactly the same besides very slightly different horizontal recoil which is better on the 40, but the vertical recoil is worse. Not to mention the SVT-38 is 2 silver and the SVT-40 is 3.

It doesn’t matter, both things played the same, the recoil thingy is minor difference and don’t actually effect your performance played. same for reloading speed, it is very minor difference for both guns.

I have used SVT-40 sniper before and the best option for sniper is the good ol Mosin.

Idk man, Fully upgraded SVT-38 sniper or even better, AVS sniper is pretty damn good. Works very effectively at all ranges.

Is there any difference between the AVS-36 sniper and the SVT-38/40 sniper, and the unscoped AVS and SVT-38? If you use semi-auto on AVS does it have exactly the same accuracy?

Well, as for the base guns (both unscoped and sniper), the SVT (and all other semi-auto rifles) has a set ROF limit of around 200-300 rpm. Meaning that if you click too fast, it may fire only once per 2-3 clicks. The AVS (and all other select-fire rifles) has no such limit when set to semi-auto. Meaning that no matter how fast you click, every time you click, you’ll shoot. That’s what makes SF rifles like the AVS so much better than semis like the SVT or ZH-29.

As for the snipers, the AVS has a full sized mosin scope, while the SVT has a smaller PU scope with less magnification and a worse sight image.

The AVS also (obvoiusly) has a larger magazine, and a full-auto option.
