Private Pyle!
I like the battlefield atmosphere and player community of Battlefield 5. When I played Iwo Jima, I felt like I was there.
Battlefield 5 players are more willing to assist in the team. No matter when I am knocked down or have no bullets, I just need to call and there will always be teammates willing to help. I often charge with a group of teammates I donât know. It feels really good.
Enlisted players are very selfish. They will hardly build anything for you. Enlistedâs medics are also very bad. They look like a variant of assault soldiers. This is so frustrating.
It is difficult for me to find people willing to charge with me. In addition to BOT, many people hide in the distance and use sniper rifles, anti-tank guns, tanks or other things.
For me, Enlisted lacks a sense of participation in the battlefield. There is a lack of interaction between players. Everyone plays by themselves. Occasionally building a rebirth point is the biggest teamwork. This makes me feel that it is not a battlefield but a more complex CS or some other FPS.
In Battlefield 5, there are teammates who are willing to help me repair tanks, provide me with ammunition, and heal me. These are all things that Enlisted cannot see.
But Battlefield 5 has a lot of cheaters, which is why I finally gave up on it.
Battlefield has the problem of being a battlefield game first and foremost; granted BFV was a step up from BF1, in that it had all the features BF1 shouldâve implemented; notably emplacements/buildables, and MMGâs (Iâd make every MG an MMG; mostly because it makes MGâs play differently than Rifles)⊠however itâs still a modern BF game; that means itâs run around like a headless chicken squad-spawning and power-sliding everywhere with common pool weapons, etc.
The Lack of Mod support, and the fact the game had itâs DLC basically cancelled before they could do an eastern front is a major mark against BFV;
Incidentally itâs Enlistedâs combination of having terrain deformation, buildables while also being moddable that makes it stand out to me; especially from Hell Let Loose; which as far as Iâm aware is pretty locked down in spite of using Unreal Engine.
HLL and PS/SQUAD are both let down by their lack of Terrain deformation and destructable map elements. Itâs 2024; I should not have to avoid saplings and fence posts as I attempt to flank around a Tiger.
I agree with you slightly on this, The problems of enlisted in this area are largely due to the nature of Gaijinâs implementation of F2P games. there are similar (and far worse/more toxic) problems in War Thunder as many will attest. Itâs mostly due to bad incentives that encourage this kind of behavior, where âonly one kill rewardedâ with assists being substantially lower in reward, game pacing, etcâŠ
Personally, I almost only play the Pacific map in Battlefield 5, so I donât really care whether there is a Soviet army or the Soviet-German battlefield. Battlefield 5 has messed up Europe. There is no doubt that.
But it is also true that Battlefield 5âs actions are smoother, although they have a slide that makes people feel funny.
Compared to this, Enlistedâs actions are stiff, especially the poor climbing action. I think Enlisted needs more room for improvement than the slide.
Enlisted can build fortifications, which makes me bright, but the reality is cruel. They are overused.
For example, anti-tank guns.
Not to mention the almost stupid unlimited deployment of vehicles, CAS or tank spam makes the infantry experience extremely bad.
You should throw in Red Orchestra 2 into the question, as it is better than all of these games.
But since it is just about these three, I will cut it to a quick summary:
Hell Let Loose-
Walking simulator (their community calls it sprinting) but with very detailed and beautiful maps. Teamwork is a great thing in this game, just make sure you watch out for Walzno and his goons. This game faces an interesting dilemma with the Pacific front, so that will be something to watch.
BFV-
Wasted potential. I could only Imagine what Eastern front maps like Stalingrad and Kursk would look like. But if you can ignore the fact you are killing American, Japanese, British, and German women soldiers in WW2, the gameplay can be quite fun. You can use any equipment/vehicles from any nation as well, no matter what faction you play in.
Enlisted-
Itâs a free game that originally had a great vision but is currently being ruined by terrible decisions from the company running it. For some reason, the modding community is arguably the biggest saving grace for this game. Darkflow does have sand left in the hourglass before their time is up, so they can still change their ways.

Griefing happens also all the time (see posts about badly placed rallies or barbed wire) though recently it got much better.
Planes and tanks arenât too strong. Expectations from people who play as infantry are unrealistic. Tanks are supposed to be âstrong.â Planes are supposed to be âstrong.â Iâm sick and tired of hearing complaints from people who are butthurt that the game doesnât indulge their hero delusions of shooting down a plane with a Kar98k or blasting the tread off a tank and having it detonate with an Owen.
The game has issues. The balance issue seems to be the biggest one. I think some dynamic monitoring to reward balance would be a good thing: if metrics show that there has been a hard swing towards one faction, reward defections back to the suffering factions until balance is restored.
If -say- Germany is cleaning up near the end of a season and their victory rates are well above 50%, institute a ONE ENLISTED GOLD reward per battle hero per victory for the opponents of Germany until balance is restored.
Cap the amount of gold that any one player can receive through âbalancing goldâ so that we donât get a bunch of people intentionally throwing balance off so that they can immediately switch and earn gold. Maybe even make the gold rewards a bit more random: not every victory gets gold and you donât know if a round is worth gold until it is over. Deserters get punished by missing out
I was simply pointing out doubble standards wieloglow has.
Being farmed by tanks in hll is an issue but in enlisted itâs a feature. Trolling happens in hll but not in elisted. etc. etc.
good
- Itâs not a sci-fi piece dressed up in 20th century style like Battlefield V. Itâs a good mix of realism and casual. Realistic clothes, realistic tank.
- Combines the best parts of realism and casual. At least voice chat is required, and itâs not so realistic that youâre shooting suppression fire into the grass a few hundred meters away.
Bad
- Unusual team balance (most important) At least neither Battlefield nor Hell let loose had such a bad team balance. Currently, Enlisted either always wins or always loses.
*Extreme P2W and veteran favoritism; the number of novices who quit after being slaughtered by 9-man infantry squads, maximally reinforced SMG squads, is immeasurable.
Yes, because in Enlisted tanks and sniper rifles are available for every player
While in Hll tanks / snipers / bombing runs are available only for those who hold power over the server
It might happen, but it is not so funny
I know. I wasnât trying to imply you were one of the complainers
It doesnât happen often enough to change the game to prohibit it. I fear unintended consequences related to such a change. If something is to be done about that concern, it should always be additive of new game dynamics and not subtractive through rule manipulation. I still strongly think that the best way to balance some of the game dynamics that routinely get labeled as âtoxicâ is to add Commandos to the game. It would be a pretty different concept and could fix quite a bit.
I agree that class lock system is quite bad. But they arenât OP like you portray them.
Subjective. Iâd rather be blown up by a grenade than go through 10 barbed wires.
Also enlisted has no issues according to you.
I take the time to remove other peopleâs barbed wire
So play a different server? There are like 20 full serves to chose from in eu only.
Some of them have rules (that are clearly visible) so if you donât like them, donât join the server.
I had K/D 3 as basic infantryman in one of my first 10 matches. I definitely didnât feel like a canon fodder.
(tldr: skill issue)
If you had 3 K/D, then other players had 0,33 K/D, which is still good in this imitation of shooter
This works like this in basically any shooter without medics? Total KD of the server is always 1 (assuming no suicides/accidents).
Unless you have medics like in BF or hll. Then total KD of the server is >1 because of ppl being revived.
But we canât allow pesky logic and match destroy your narrative, can we.
âTotal K/D is always 1â - you should won Nobel prize for that
Thing is that in shit let loose you have K/D = 3, while in Enlisted - at best 2.0.
Because in Enlisted even the worst players always have chance to get some kills as snipers or with mortars
And why are they âstrongâ?
Because tanks are protected thanks to the magical greyzone, forcing infantry to use ranged weapons to kill them but the fun part is that only the Soviets and Germans have the ability to do so while the US relies on a 108mm RL and a 57mm AT cannon, let alone Japan who cant pen 100m iirc and have an even worse field gun.
Planes are strong because maps are small shitty chokepoints, and ground only has the ability to use handicapped AA guns against them or two trash AA trucks for two nations only. Not to mention suicide-cycling.
I donât know why this is something âsuppossedâ. Looks like shitty game design.
Be wieloglow, have your argument debunked with ease, pretend nothing happened, create another equally weak argument.
SighâŠ
I donât know if you have noticed (probably not), but in enlisted you shoot to dumb bots. Bots that can barely shoot, can somwehat move, and totally canât use cover.
1 kill in enlisted =/= 1 kill in hll
For me personally itâs about 5 kills in enl = 1 kill in hll in terms of adrenaline. But I guess everybody will have his own ratio.
If we follow your logic, enlisted is shit when compared to wolfenstein or sniper elite because there you can have KD = 10 with ease. (Also they have even less weapon restrictions than elisted!)
And they still have shit KD. KD during battle is wrong because it only accounts for squad losses, while real profile KD accounts for all losses.
Also, kills in Enlisted donât matter because 90% of them are Tesla bots, not to mention tanks and planes. So do your deaths.
ExactlyâŠ
In Enlisted it is hard to get K/D less than 1, because bots always give some easy kills.
In shit let loose there are no bots, but players like you like to have K/D 3 and aboveâŠ
⊠so specialized people create more and more false advertisements - âjoin now / best WW II shooter / real combatâ - to attract idiots to work as a cannon fodder for VoyoMays and others
