I guess I just figured its a literal assault rifle so it should be really good. Now maxed out it does barely above SMG damage. RoF I’m ok with but the damage and accuracy should be much better than it is now

Can you tell me why the federov is OP?

The first Nerf I was annoyed that it happened but didn’t really complain since it was at least consistent with the other carbines now though I hoped that it happened the other way where the m2 and m1c grenade launcher were buffed and that same approach should have happened to the mkb35 and the vg1-5 resulting a more liked vg instead of a somewhat nerfed stg

So according to my hours long research I can scientifically confirm that :

Fedov has fairly low recoil (when used with the vert. reduction perk, something all assaulters have at this lvl), same exact rof as mp43, almost 12 damage per bullet. It’s much better than the nerfed mp43… BUT would have been acceptable compared to the pre nerfed version.

It was an unnecessary nerf, and I believe is to “help” Berlin Russians for some reason, as Normandy had it for a while but never got modified.

But it also forces them to make a choice, between the all around pps-42/43, the suppressive abilities of the ppsh and ppd, or the hard hitting federov. Now if you want to see a real monster with the -40% reduction perk then look at the FG42s with the first one only making a small circle while on full auto but unlike the federov, the fg42 is able to be put on every single soldiers

Fg42II gets boring real fast. It’s the meta for axis in Berlin, we hoped it would change with the mp43… but no. Got nerfed.

Not to mention I’m almost certain devs will nerf the fgs as well sooner or later, leaving axis with inferior everything in Berlin :thinking:

Not really. You don’t even have to think if you unlocked the ppsh41, you won’t use the pps anymore. The only choice is between fedov and ppsh41. Which is a nice thing, mixed arms is funnier than a single spammed weapon meta. Got fed up with Berlin because of that, I don’t want to use Fg42II anymore.

My friends you actually are playing another game, expect some “rare” forced cases, all new weapon and veichle are always better in some way in comparison to the older one

Max Thompson and Danuvia will almost match it in damage. Base thompson is 6.8? Plus 20% is 8.2 or something. Pretty dumb

If you really think that the mp43 would have changed anything then you really are mistake since you will be still running the FG42s but even then you would likely grow bored of the mp43 so nothing much would change since it would be FG42II, MP43, and MG34PT. I only bring up FG42 because it legitimately stupidly OP with that perk, so it speaks more about the perk than it does about the gun itself.

Like you mentioned above, for Soviets, they “must choose” between fedov, ppsh, pps…
Would have been nice as Axis to have something to choose from aswell. But right now it remains same boring fg42II still. It’s necessary in that campaign to compete vs ppsh41 (and now fedov) spam… on the other hand ppsh41 and fedov are necessary to compete vs fg42II spam. Truly fantastic…

I just wanted this iconic arm to be worthwhile, and start ditching all my fg42II. Oh! Also I’m I the only one really annoyed by that absolutely RIDICULOUS reloading animation on the fg42II and mp43??? Which soldier would ever be stupid enough to just toss slap his magazines in such fashion… This scream “I’m a cod cool chad soldier!”

So these two matches were with it no vehicles besides like 20 kills with the plane on one I’ll let yall decide from there I got 86 kill with it on one spawn kinda want to be impartial cuz I use it alot

Why is it so accurate while standing or even walking and shooting, despite it being the heaviest Mg in game? And why does it reload that quickly?

Thats the reason it’s so heavy it kinda offsets the recoil from videos I’ve seen and the reload needs to slightly longer its stupid fast with the +12 reload perk

You cannot be blamed for using it. It’s sincerely great, maybe even the best lmg in game for now :thinking: (but I still love the BAR more)

Maybe DF just hired him. “Mmmh. He’s a man of experience. He says the stg deserves a nerf and it’s counterparts should be powerful, that guy knows what he’s doing, so let him do his thing, we can drink vodka instead.”

The real problem isn’t this weapon, it’s that DF puts something into the game from random ideas. Which then pushes the balance from one side to the other, but it doesn’t happen to be a good solution either. I don’t even see logic at the campaign levels anymore, but certainly not a well-thought-out plan. But we just throw in something we’re done with, and on the other side something we already had, and then there’s going to be something. If only it wasn’t the logic behind it that it didn’t matter anyway because MM shit on people. We put a gun in and it either gets into the battle in the hands of a player of some ability or not.
