What do you guys think of Enlisted adding single player missions like War Thunder?

I think it would be kinda cool to be able to play some single player missions and get some sort of reward(bronze/silver weapon or soldier cards depending on the difficulty) kinda like WT,even though they’ll probably abandon it 6 months later

i think that would be better to implement a system to allow modders to make such missions instead of half baked ones that are going to be forget.

overall, would be best if they would give us more features and tools that will help us to make those missions for everyone.

( for example, battle phases, waypoints objectives, counter attack objectives, the ability to replenish units, way to change loadouts on the get go, AI vehicles, Singleton Respawns for ambushes and what not ( or defense units around flanks that stays there etc ) more controls for AI to change their pathfind / routes ( for ambushes, patrols convoys ). and allow modders to insert titles ( for objective ) during the battle.

and additionally ( though, not 100% required. just to enhance the experience ) allow modders to add combat music, play sounds on command ( mostly useful for ambient noises, or custom speeches for briefings / some characters playing some lines to give context and reality.

and perhaps many more that i’m missing.

granted, modders content might not be very well polished. unlike officials.
but the reasons lies in the lack of tools and restrictions on the editor.

( TLDR; they don’t really have to. they could just “give”/impelement us the tools and allow us to make something similar to wt. hence, would save everyone time and resources )

I would say that bringing single player missions into the game could act as a foundation, from which they could test those features that you suggested and then give players access to them

well, no.

because it would be time consuming.

time that you could spend somewhere else.

for example, all the debugging, make AI loadouts that you would have to change each time, fix it when the game updates, and generally create a mission from scratch when again, they could just create templates and let the modders decide their nitpicks such as timing, properties and what not.

because after all, as you hinted, those will be forgotten in 6 months.

and i would like to remind you that Mods digest are actually a thing, and are relatively easier for them to make.

just find a cool mod, make some screenshot, and publish it so other people can try it.

it’s all about improving what we have, while spending the less time possible.

TBH single player missions in WT have always been kinda the dumb cousin of the servant’s redhead stepson…

Gaijin itself wouldn’t even remember there being some, if not for the half-baked Pacific campaign they shamelessly put on sale every now and then…

true i guess

honestly after this BR update, would be good to have something to keep me interested in playing Enlisted

whether that be a solid campaign or pve only modes or finding enjoyment in some custom matches I don’t know

but this game certainly has potential to make a great single player campaign with the assets in the game

if only the team was more dedicated and understanding on how to use those assets better

but nothing like warthunder, that just wouldn’t do

they are already bringing in enough junk from warthunder that is pushing me away, don’t need anymore

That sounds fun and interesting

i think it,s cool

Give tools for modders to make their own singleplayer/co-op missions on the map editor. I personally am waiting for a better terrain editor and bot/co-op compatibility so I can create defense maps like Guadalcanal’s Bloody Ridge, Stalingrad’s Red Square+Pavlov’s House+Granary Tower, and a more souped up version of Omaha Beach.
