it happened third time to me, as soon as I take off from the aircraft carrier something pulls me down to the water, I can’t climb up, I don’t know what it is what do I do wrong?
not enough speed i think
i use the trick that the guy give me before which is to take off at the tip of the carrier (idk how to explain it sorry im not good at explaining thing)
you do not pull up to early, just stay on deck and “drive” until it ends, set your flaps to taking off and full throttle, thats it but staying on deck is most important
Taking off from a carrier’s tricky. Make sure you got 110% throttle, takeoff flaps, and start pulling up IMMEDIATELY
fuck no, thats how you bounce and wreck your plane
throttle up to 110% immediately
As soon as you start rolling, pull the nose down a bit so that you are level on the artificial horizon, but not too much so you don’t wreck your propeller (I’m actually a bit too nose down in this pic)
Then you roll down the deck till the very end
Heavy stuff like the SBD might need takeoff flaps
You also want to usually try to pick up some speed flying level (I usually go for at least 220 on most planes) so that you actually climb faster
Also, unless situation is desperate you probably do not want to immediately fly right for the objective, but at least go a bit off to the side, until you get some more speed and few hundred in altitude (within reason of course, no one wants their team’s pilot gone for 10 minutes as they go to space)
Speed and altitude let you maneuver better and make you less of a sitting duck
Sorry, meant pull up IMMEDIATELY AFTER clearing the carrier. You roll the entire length every time regardless of any detail
Gravity or tractor beam
You dont mention the plane that you used.
We can safely assume you are using something heavier than a fighter.
Just do exactly what @emp_zealoth writes and you will be fine.
i can’t name it, i don’t know much about vechicles, it was definetely heavy one.
thank you everyone, i will apply to your advice.
When you are sitting on the deck your nose is pointing up…lower it to level while you are taking off…
Sounds obvious yes, but easily over looked
I havent needed flaps in most planes
how do you get youtube to not melt your videos?
My OBS recordings look perfect and should be within allowed bitrate for 1440p but youtube not happy
One last advice, when you point the nose down when taxiing to level the plane, dont point the nose down too far or else the propeller will touch the deck and break (been there, done that)
I dont know…I just use OBS to record and then I upload…no problems there.
