What are timing rules on Event cycles?

Earlier today (before reset), my son was sitting at 18100 points for the 2 day 20k Event task. At 0853 Eastern Time, he started a final round and scored 3800 points. That round ended at roughly 0915 Eastern Time. When he went to claim the task prize, the task had already cycled forward and he was back at 0.

What are the rules for a situation when a round is started before Event reset and that round is needed to complete the task? Why is it behaving like the round must be COMPLETED before reset instead of started before reset?

Scores and progress are refreshed 48 hours after each remake

That is obvious. What is not working is that players who are needing to complete a round to unlock the prize for the task are denied credit for completion if the round they are playing spans across the reset boundary. A round that starts before the reset should count as scoring before the reset, not after.

Case:

Given: An event is occurring
Given: Each event task requires 20k points
Given: Player has 19999 points
Given: There is time left before reset
Given: Player matches a round
Given: Player scores at least 1 point
When: Round finishes at (Reset + 1 Minute)
Then: Score should count based on time of round begin
And: Completion of the Event Task should occur
And: Event prize for task should be granted

^^^ this is not what currently occurs

event only cares about battle end, not battle start. if you finish battle past the event timer it counts as progress to another day.

It’s cool if u had finish the 20 k and start a New game at 13h58.

Not cool if u have 19500 points and start at 13h58.

Life is life, lalalala.

Usually I play at 13H50
This way I can end the game within 10 minutes of the update
