OG is definitely BR2 weapon.
The onl5 reason why this squad is BR4 is because 6x terrible flamers.
I do have feeling plane balance is terrible. There’s so man nearly unusable planes for their BRs, and there’s quite a number of nearly broken BR 1/2 planes.
But more or less I di agree with everything you have said.
yeah… but it is OP for BR2. like i said it is somewhere between BR3 and BR4. box pps41 is just stupid on BR3 with its laser accuracy and is probably only gun better than it if it should be on BR3.
Federov, AVT, AVS, PPSh drum, Dicker Max at most BR 3
OG 43 and any other Italian thing at best BR 2 so they can actually be used with the Italians……instead of Italian paratroopers in Normandy and Berlin
Perhaps move the MG 42 and it’s early variant to BR 3. The new halftracks has an MG 42 and it’s BR 2
Panzerfaust 60 moved to BR 4, replaced by Panzerfaust 30 for BR 3. (Yes they have the same penetration but I’d rather the mid Panzerfaust be closer to the 1942-43 period than the 60 that was made in 1944. It’s the thought that counts
The og43 is a br2 weapon at best when comparing it to existing weapons in that tier. I’d argue the damage, rof, and magazine size are in line with br1 in reality, but we don’t really need paratroopers in br1, so br2 should fit nicely with the other low tier paratrooper squads.
The Following should all be BR III minimum, but the problem is still that they will be found in BR II line up’s and still be a problem.
So Unless they create a Third match up level instead of just the two we have now, Moving a lot of kit to III from I and II will still be problem.
P38’s
P51’s
I can add more Kit as well, including a few tanks, but in the end with only two battle category’s late and early war, its really always going to a mess.
I’ve had plenty of early game Soviet battles where the Germans are curb stomping
Now I personally don’t care for the most part (win, lose, whatever it happens) but maybe that goes to show maybe the Soviets are being outclassed
And the Germans have long barreled Panzers in BR 3, and the Dicker Max has an open top and weak top armor at that. I don’t think Max would be insurmountable. A PTRS can take out a Max. I even think it’s easier for a PTRS to take out a Max than a Panzer
And I have suggested an early prototype German automatic rifle analogous to the AVT that could be added
I personally want those things moved because they are early war things and I’d like to be able to see them there. At least with BR 3 they can go either way
Type 1 smg (both premium & gold order ver) - too much recoil to justify it’s place at BR III.
All BR I-II smg’s for Japan are better options to use, even ‘MP-28’ with it’s improved post-merge recoil pattern.
The problem with these discussions is that they need some sort of a quantitative baseline.
So when someone makes an assertion about a weapon system x or a vehicle y they cite some logical reasons for it.
If they devs can’t be bothered or haven’t had time to go through this process, then as a playerbase we may have to set something of a quantitative framework up before you go down the road of opinions.
I’m not trying to be critical of the idea, I just don’t think it will have the desired effect on the devs if all it becomes is a wall of opinions.
As it stands there are already too many inconsistencies across the BRs to mention. I think we just need to let the devs have a think about the impacts of the merger in more strategic terms and then allow them to make the changes. They can’t really make things worse than they already are.
I would prefer a historically anchored BR system, that looks at in-service dates for weapons. Anything that is esorteric, prototype based or just outright random, should be reserved for a “leader” style role in each squad, which the way the game seems to be trending atm is the assaulter role.
All other roles should get the correct in-service weapons within those availability limits.
Similarly with vehicles. The game should figure out which BRs correspond to the appropriate in-service periods and match the vehicles accordingly. Knowing that everyone is asking for a +/- 1 BR range will also help where any historical assymetries result.
Well some of the weapons I want changed the most, I acknowledge don’t quite belong in BR3 matching with BR 1 and 2, but shouldn’t locked into BR 4 and 5 either. Ideally, we would get a decompressed BR 3-4 and max BR tiers becoming 4-5-6 or 5-6-7 so there is more room for those upper-middle tier weapons to shine.
I would admit BR is a year of war and stop doing silly nonsense “rating” tech trees that will lead to continuous trouble. That would be a good starting point.
