I guess it will probably get more inline with STG. But then, why not just use a rifleman equipped with an M2 Carbine.
I’m not saying that Hyde must be OP, but at least it seemed different.

Loadout of all paratroopers need to be upgraded they feel super weak or contain weapons you would never use.
US already got T20, IDK why M2 Carbine shouldn’t be moved to Assaulter class? Its characteristic doesn’t fit to the current roles rn. If concern it gonna overlapped with Hyde, Hyde doesn’t have bayonet from what I see so someone might prefer M2 Carbine over it.

But it definitely shouldn’t be reclassified to AR. There’s no need for it. It is still closer to SF Rifle than to AR.

Just from my feeling where it should belong lol and I hope its model getting fix too, the bolt is cycling back clipped through the receiver is kinda oof.

It would be a huge nerf for M2C. It can now be used by basically any class of soldier. And you want to enforce that only one particular class of soldier can use it - assaulters.
That would screw over a lot of players who own more than 4 of these weapons.
No, the M2C and G43k should remain classified as SF rifles.

Actually, One thing I like about M2C is that I generally equipped the 5th soldier in the squad with it because they will not sit outside of the center of the screen in hangar menu like when they equipped with T20 lol Kinda wired picky but it really bugged me when soldier’s poses aren’t in the center point.
