You guys think we should have supply budgets per squad to prevent spam of single types of weapons/special grenade types across a squad? For example: equipping your two available rifleman squadrons with assault rifles and white phosphorus grenades across every squad member.
You guys think there should be a “weight” limit for how many special weapons a squad should have?
OK but i want to refund all guns i can’t use anymore for gold.
You can buy them for gold or silver, i doubt they have info on what each player bough with what. i bought one on accident with gold.
So this would mean DF giving away tons of gold for free → will never happen
Or the rifleman squads I and II can stay with using bolt actions and semi-automatics and an elite rifleman III squad would have access to assault rifles?
Okay lets have people abuse something else like riflemen squads full of grenade launchers then MGs then assault rifles.
Too late for that plus this idea is going to piss some people off with those who actually bought squad slots so this thread warrants an image like this
ofc it should be done, many people who would disagree are those who actually bought some weapons and stuff already, and this is the cancer of f2p games, bcuz you can’t make changes to the game without refunding stuff and obviously devs wants you to spend money not refunding them.
Damn, so we’re stuck with catering to literal pay to win?
Also the grenade launchers aren’t as much of a problem as they were before when they first released and when were we capable of equipping every rifleman squad member with MGs?
There really should be a sense of balance in this game than the players asking “What can I abuse after this next update?”
Frankly, those paying players are helping the game alive along with its development costs so pissing them off because of your idea for more restrictions is not going to be a good idea. Like what’s the point of buying high level equipment, squad slots, premium, etc if you are going to restrict them from using those equipment whether they spent time, money or both on it?
I’m against any restrictions on equipment since many of them already have existing restrictions(e.g. assaulters only, engineer only, etc) and since even the bots were given better guns from one of the recent updates.
There are much more reasonable suggestions like matchmaking balancing teams based on campaign level and rank but the real problem is the playerbase itself where there are people that stack meta factions with meta equipment all the time depending on 1. Which faction and campaign gets the newest, coolest toys after a major update. 2. Cap times and ticket bleed rates constantly being changed instead of based on the actual difficulty of the cap point individually. 3. What stuff to unlock in a faction on a campaign(ex. Normandy Axis having most of the best late war German equipment such as Tigers, STG-44s, etc) where clearly Normandy Axis is one of the most popular factions in the game.
At times, using the best equipment is the only way to win on certain matches such as the enemy team having 4 stacks handicapping the solo player further if such restrictions are introduced since those 4 people can just communicate what squad to use and how to rotate stuff.
And scaring away the rest of the potential customers and catering to a handful of money whales is the way to go? I’ve purchased a few weapons sure but just because I have money isn’t justifiable for me to have a vast advantage over other players, especially when I can buy and equip meta weapons for every applicable squad member. We have the choice of the devs either putting limits to weapon supply or predictably, they’ll pull out the nerf hammers Ie. FG42/Auto Carbine/AR spammers. The same happened to the MGs and before that the grenade launchers.
I’m not against those weapons but if people think that they’re going to be able to spam these weapons without the devs taking notice they’ve got another thing coming.
It is well known that the player base can hardly support full servers let alone having a matchmaking system be selective of who plays with who, it doesn’t help that players are already split between campaigns too. The matchmaker would just be selecting the same 80 or so people to play with each other repeatedly. Maybe when the game is released on Steam perhaps but it would be redundant right now due to such a small pool of players for a matchmaker to work from.
tl:dr Devs gonna nerf the ARs within the next year unless some type of limiter is put in place for squads. I like how the ARs handle right now and would like to have them stay that way even at cost of availability.
What potential customers ?
The ones that promise to spend
IF the game is nerfed / buffed according to theyr liking ?
Well they are somewhat reliable money source, unlike the “promises of spending” if the game is done to certain ppl liking.
Cant really think of any premium squad that would be dramatically OP compared to f2p.
Stalingrad as campaign was about to become one, then DF switched it to more F2P appealing.
Probably only clear advantage I can think of is the spare squad slots u can bring in battle with premium.
Aka plane & tank.
CSGO is now what ? 300yrs old ? And still, they every now and then adjust certain weapons aka taking -50% of mag size of AWP recently.
Nerf / Buff isnt exactly something that hasnt ever been done.
Good old moscow, could run those LMG’s like AR’s and enjoy buckets of soviet tears.
Everything “OP” or even broken is spammed. Unfortunately it feels like abusing broken / OP equipment is the only way it ever getting fixed.
I dont have any idea how many daily players this game has, probably no one does. Sure the match searching seems to take more time every now and then.
BUT at the end of day, id gladly wait 5minutes to get 1 game with like minded people playing.
Rather than absolute shitshow we currently get every 10sec - 1min in que.
Dont mind at all.
Yeah cant wait this game getting honest reviews on steam.
Well there aint much they havent nerfed yet. Thats entirely another topic.
On one hand, it would be unfair to those that have already ground out what they have.
On the other hand, it could be made into a sort of matchmaking system. Use Gaijin’s Crossout game for example. Lobbies based on “Power Score”. Set up 3 different tiers, (Low, High, and Unrestricted). This could let players that have less, or choose to play with less, get into more fair lobbies. Unrestricted simply lets you run whatever you wish.
Why should you get a refund? Game mechanics change as the game evolves and if it has to accommodate every player that’s been playing for years that isn’t happy with the changes, nothing would ever happen.
You bought them and used them to great advantage to gain more experience and weapon orders. You’ve gotten the value from them and you get to keep them, so no need for a refund
So then why can we sell weapons and soldiers?
After all we’ve gotten the value from them.
And all this weapon balance points threads are always forgetting premium squads, that still would be able to spam full auto guns.
And You can’t just take them away, people paid for it, it would have to be refunded (which will never happen beacuse devs love money), or it would just switch game from f2p to p2w.
You are so wrong i can’t even begin to describe it.
Always shitty suggestions from clueless guys with 0 game desing knowledge.
You want to see more historically accurate squads? More bolt action instead of Full auto spam?
Make threads to give more score/xp for kills with bolt-action. Buff not nerf
