No weapon in this game has their real rate of fire, there ether too fast or too slow, im going to list a few weapons and their real rate of fire.
M3 Grease Gun: 450 RPM.
MP-38, MP-40, and MP-41 550 RPM
PPD-34 and PPD-34/38 800 RPM
PPD-40 900 RPM
PPSh-41 900-1300 RPM depending on ammo and spring condition. (after the spring has taken a few hundred rounds the rate of fire is over a thousand and a few more its 1300)
MKb-42(H) 550 RPM
StG-44 500 RPM
MG-34 different models ranging from 600 to 1500 RPM
MG-42 different bolts ranging from 900 to 1550 RPM.
M1A1 Thompson 600-700 RPM.
M1921/28, M1928 USMC and 1928A1 700-800 RPM.
M1921AC 900-1300 RPM depending on manufacturer date.
Type 100/40 450 RPM
Type 100/44 800 RPM
Type 1 (SMG) and Type 1 SMG (1930) 800 RPM
Type 2 SMG 600 RPM
And all semi autos should fire as fast as you pull the trigger especially the M1 Carbine.
Already is both gun behave the same withaut and work the same, the only difference is an unnoticiable 100 more rof on the ppsh, and no 100 rof dont make differece if your gun have already 900
All guns should be one shot kill in %80 of all situations but only bolts are doing that.
Only solution i see is increase recoil for every smg and make them hard to use. I am tired of seeing smg spammers running around like headless chickens everywhere
I hope so.
Using guns feel like playing with toys now.
Addition to fixed mounting mechanics and not able to use lmgs in not mounted state would be great.
And increased grenade throwing time and reduced throwing distance will be fine touch
It isn’t just rate of fire, that value is just the easiest to identify and compare. Many stats are thoroughly fake here. We didn’t start with purely historical parameters and then they’ve kept tweaking them back and forth instead of doing something more elegant.
That’s actually a misleading statement. When people read or hear that, they think “as fast as you pull the trigger” equals “as fast as you click the mouse button”. That is not the case. There are real mechanical limitations to how quickly a semi-auto gun can refire. But of course those limitation are not nearly as pronounced as what we have.
