Someone already imagined Tarkov or calafdutegavnard. Today without it. In this topic I will try to consider authentic modifications of weapons of the Second World War, which can be added to the game.
There is already a great topic on the Russian forum with similar content. If you are not too lazy to use a translator, you can read it. (Or just look at the pictures)
But today we will also touch a little on the gameplau component.
But let’s start with skins
Let’s take the PPSh as an example. Let’s look at the skins available in the game.
This is the currently available PPSh.
This is the PPSh before the update in which they supposedly improved the weapon models.
But after this improvement I only noticed that I don’t like the new color of the PPSh and my favourite Mosyanka. I don’t remember the current model now.
These are German PPSh.
This is “obrez”.
As you already understood, I like the colors of all these PPSh more than the color of the main PPSh in the Soviets tech tree. (And I also have a schizo-theory that the PPSh was ruined in color so that people would go buy a phosphated one) So why draw new skins if you can use the existing ones?
You can attach a column for the color of the metal parts nearby. Or a switch that allows you to change this column.
Here are some more MP-40s of different colors.
By the way, about the MP-40. And its suppressed version. I propose adding the ability to remove the suppressor from a suppressed weapon.
Sights. The most pressing issue at the moment is the sights for the Stinger.
-We like the sights without the front sight.
-We want to tear our hair out of ass when we see a sight without the front sight. Add a front sight.
-We want that old sighting bar from the picture that James Grove is trying to scare us with, please.
Or maybe give us these options to choose from?
As with Thompsons. Those who don’t like holes, change the sight with a hole for a sight with stumps. Those who are happy with the holes, leave the hole. Yes, I know that m onethousandninehundredandhowmuchisthere, but this can be attributed to the creativity of field workshops, and it is not very noticeable. And why do you need all this bunch of almost identical Thompsons in the tech tree?
Speaking of Thompsons. Skins again. (Yes, one thousand nine hundred and blah-blah-blah)
Why are we always talking about the US? Let’s talk about their allies.
What is your favorite sten?
Personally, mine is Mk5 in black furniture
I suggest making a choice of modification of this or that weapon in the modules menu. (You can make several stens for different BRs in tech tree, and put the conforming BR modifications in customize)
Or a configuration of a “obrez” of this or that weapon.
Maybe you main axismainers, but you don’t like their “obrez”? Then choose the Soviet one via customize. Or, on the contrary, choose the German one according to the Soviets. Or even stick in all kinds of “obrezes” to highlight the parmesan flavor of your parmesans.
By the way, about “obrezes”.
Well, it’s obvious that the spread will increase. By the way, this is very relevant, because shotguns lack accuracy at medium ranges and pellet spread at close ranges. Now it’s a Weapon for No Ranges™. And at least at close range it will be more useful. You can also put different cartridges in customize. Or you can also make it “obrezing” automatically when placed in the pistol slot.
Sawed-off TOZik
I don’t know if they made sawed-off shotguns from Drilling or Sauer m30… but in my opinion, this is some kind of fruaking blasphemy. It’s better not to introduce sawed-off shotguns from Drilling.
Now about the sights again.
This is PPD34.
This is also PPD 34. But pay attention to the front sight. The same applies to PPD 40.
At the moment, the PPD 34 has the same ring in the game. Let me remind you that in older versions of the game this ring was not there.
There were also such barrel attachments for the PPSh and PPD.
This is to catch the barbed wire in it and shoot it through. You can increase the speed of destruction of the barbed wire with this, or while you are destroying the barbed wire, make one shot and it will break right away.
You can also put all sorts of paper bullshit in different versions in the modules.
I like this look of Hyde carbine more.
You can also make something like “sets”. And buttons “Apply to all units of this weapon” or “Apply to all units of this weapon in the selected squad”. Or even apply to [input for the number of weapons, buttons + and - ].
Well, that’s a reserve for the future.
Spoiler
Suggest your modification options. I will be very glad. That’s all.
