Weapon "Boxed Free Aim"

All this talk about LMG’s firing characteristics got me thinking: What about this game makes it stand apart but feel so familiar at the same time?

Then it hit me. WEAPON BOXED FREE-AIM.
What’s that you ask? It’s the system incorporated by everyone’s other favorite tactical FPS Red Orchestra1&2/Rising Storm/Rising Storm 2

What does it do? It makes sure your weapon is never locked onto one “bullseye” in the middle of your screen. Spin around to the right? Your weapon gets offset to the right. You get the idea. And if you don’t:

This is what this game NEEDS. No more arguing about Soviet death-laser SMGs or 360 no-scope bullmess. I admit even I have taken advantage of the fact that my bullets will be hitting center-screen with bolt-actions in close combat. It’s kinda gay and needs to change.

As someone who sinked thousands of hours playing those 2 masterpieces, I wholeheartedly agree. There was no silly snap aim/shoot in those, and no ridiculous rambo no scopes.

Fucking YES. I need this as an option, it made RO2 and RS2 Vietnam feel so much better.

I would agree, it would also make the swing perk actually useful, instead of next to useless as it is now.

In other words, it should be as it is now in game but only with the perk. Otherwise your swing should put sway into the weapon.

Eh, IDK about that. The perk should really only reduce shot deviation, no matter where the weapon is pointing. Just makes it more precise.
