Lol remember, BR 3 will no longer fight 5.
“BR 3 hell”

this does not necessarily need to be the case - it will now one hit down true, but in the end its a weapon for assaulters, and those are technically limited compared to trooper SFR, so the idea itself isnt bad at all, all I wish for is that FG42 woulnd be treated like a cursed gun that needs two shots to down vs Soviet armor - it really should get a damage buff to match AVT and T20
it completely invalidates premium and gold order/event thompsons
What a short sighted change, but to be expected after they put p2w Thompson 7.63 on sale for BR2.
Another inputs:
Honi 1: BR 1 (No MG, No Turret, Open Chassis)
Honi 3: BR 2 (No MG, No Turret)
Nato: BR 2 ( (No MG, No Turret, Open Chassis)
For Hori, both prototype & production (but especially prototype) can be downtiered to BR 4. They don’t have MG, Turrets, & good mobility (reverse speed to get away/disengage) & their good frontal armor & gun doesn’t save them from AT infantry and bomber planes
Update for USSR:
T-28: BR 1 or update its useless shrapnel shell to better APHE shell
I think KV 2 & IS 2 need buff too, they have very low DPS, but for clarification I don’t have the experience using it.
For USA TD, I don’t have the experience but With very poor armor & open chassis nature, M10 can be BR 2 and M18 can be BR 3.
For explanation, open chassis mean the vehicles is very vulnerable to high explosive weapon, heavy machine gun, molotov, & Infantry small arms ambush
Any comment whether it is justified to be in the game at all? @MajorMcDonalds
I mean, we have “Sniper M1 Garand as well”
Why not?
Content won’t be deleted anyways
its a two hit kill gun, despite its high damage it will still only kill with two shots just like 9mm guns, the extra damage will mostly only mean that it suffers less from damage drop - which isnt all that crazy considering 45 ACP is kinda difficult to aim with at longer ranges because the bullet flies pretty slow.
Then why pretty much same gun but with just 20 rounds exist?
except for patches on uniforms for some reason…
but for the rest, i agree.
The M1C was made during ww2.
even though it wasn’t used, like many more examples within enlisted.
M1C should stay that’s a end of WW2 Gun, the M1D in-game Sniper M1 Garand should go though that’s the post War one. I seriously wondered long time what is the fck up with these two.
well well, its still ongoing isnt it? these things can still change ofc. but the overall reduction of a Thompson to BR2 is a good thing I think.
what it does is effectively make US players get an iconic gun in low BR matches.
Tho I have to agree that maybe less SMG power would be wiser for BR2 instead.
500 RPM 9mm vs 600 RPM 45 ACP is then in favour to the US weapons by DPS.
M1C and D were made end of WW2 though only M1C used, I’ve seen pictures in-field M1Cs at the very last of WW2. the D version could go since wasn’t issued till after War over…
But on other hand I mean It could have been sent out last months IF they would have wanted too or speed up the process, you know by a stretch why not…
I mean a TT BR2 Thompson was kinda needed, however what they have done here just wasnt it, not to mention Im against the idea of premiums needed to make historical or meta lineups, premiums should be good but unique alternatives to what is in the tree, not flat upgrades.
i suppose it will just be a variant and “might” be useless since everyone got their panzer 4 j,much better(ofc for legacy players).
soviet bias pls underestand small indie dev
I guess this was my fault yet again…
I just made a post that this isnt a true at all.
First of all a player must understand how damage work:
A soldier has 20 HP, 10 “normal” HP and 10 HP in downed state
A soldier with vitality has 13,5 “normal” and 10 HP in downed state
The problem with calculating downstate HP is that its chance based and is best explained through examples:
John has 20 HP, he gets hit with 10 DMG so he has a 0% chance to die without entering downed state
John is hit with 11 DMG so he a low chance to die without entering downed state
John is hit with 19 DMG so he has a high chance to die without entering downed stateOnce a soldier has entered the downed state, he must suffer 10 DMG to die. (cumulative! if you hit John for 15 DMG and he gets downed, he only has 5 HP left in downed state).
Vitality and max upgraded guns are the norm for veterans so I will be using those by default!
Every shot hits the torso and the soldier is NOT wearing body armour and is NOT paratrooper or flame II.Mp40, Mp38, M1 Beretta, Beretta 38/42, Lanchester.
SMGs that do 6.8-7.0 damage at 10m
Down a soldier in 2 shots
Kill a soldier in 4 shotsPps42, Pps43, Type 2a SMG
SMGs that do 6.7 damage at 10m
Kill a soldier with high chance in 3 shots
In the worst case scenario, if the soldier was lucky and got downed from 3 shots (low chance) they need a fourth shot to kill.M1A1 Thompson, M3A1 Submachine gun (Grease gun)
SMGs that do 7.9-8.3 damage at 10m
Kill a soldier in 2 shots (low-medium chance), but guaranteed to down
Kill a downed soldier with 3rd shot (guaranteed)The M3A1 Submachine gun has been BR2 for a while now but did not break balance because it had low fire rate.
MP40, MP38, M1 Beretta, Beretta 38/42: base fire rate 500 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 570 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 64,6 and 66,5 (MP40 only)Pps42: base fire rate 600 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 690 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 77Type 2a SMG: base fire rate 600 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 690 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 77Lanchester: base fire rate 600 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 690 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 78,2M3A1 Submachine gun: base fire rate 410 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 470 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 65M1A1 Thompson: base fire rate 600 rpm, max upgraded fire rate 690 rpm.
DPS max upgraded: 95,5With everything I have said so far, I think it’s pretty clear that the M1A1 Thompson will power creep the hell out of BR2
When high br AAs for Jets
A downed soldier is beaten and almost dead … yes finishing them off is obviously also part of the game, but who ever downs first wins the fight - this is immensely more important.
