Soldiers should not catch fire as soon as they touch the flames. This is unrealistic. Soldiers in this game are like being soaked in gasoline. Soldiers should continue to take damage when they touch the flames. They should catch fire after staying in the range of the flames for a period of time instead of Instantly catches fire.
The flamethrower is currently overpowered in close quarters, making all guns look dull in close quarters, and it also lingers too much flame on the ground, which is pretty unfair, and I wish I could give the flamethrower a Install an overheating mechanism to limit it’s continuous flame injection.

I agree with WP the area that it affects is large and you can’t jump around it like flames. Molotov have a relatively small size plus it blocks the area both factions. As for flamethrowers I like where they are now. They should be a priority to take out on the battlefield. Their gas canisters make their silhouette standout amongst the enemies. Also I think they tend to be slower than other classes due to the flamethrower.
In fact once you touch these flames in reality, you don’t even get a chance to extinguish it yourself

The flames left by the flamethrower are sometimes really in the way. It will not only hinder teammates but even ignite themselves. In fact, flamethrowers are not so easy to retain flames on the ground in reality, especially if there is no combustible material on the ground.
Nope, fire weapons are fine. If ever, incendiary bombs should be given to CAS planes that historically could carry them.
Also, radio squads should be able to call in a firebombing run in addition to the normal carpet bombing.
JK, I’m against a nerf, but I support the idea of soldiers taking a few seconds (while taking damage) before catching fire by flames on the ground. Direct hit by flamethrower should still be instafire though.
OPTIMAL solution: fix flamethrowers shooting through walls, increase the time it takes to catch fire when walking through a burning area (the most annoying thing ever!) and nerf white phosphor maybe by giving it a cooldown time of some minutes after killing too many team mates. molotovs are so underused since forever that they shouldnt be nerved.

yea flamethrower are too op just run and spray and get over 20+ kills at the start of the game.

Every time I step on a residual fire, I get the same effect as turning on a lighter with a can of oil all over my body.
they should at least make it so you can actually fucking reload while on fire because i doubt that being on fire would knock out the new magazine you placed on the gun or the stripers you put in
