We really need some "Exceptions" about MG Nerf

The situation

Overall MGs had been seriously nerfed this update.

It is OK with almost-heavy-MG s like MG 34, DPM, etc. they were pretty overpowered so to speak.
But about the ones like BAR and ZB-26 things? Nah.

LMGs without Sustained fire abilities

now the MGs with low Magazine capacities, like BAR, Chauchat, etc.,
Which was useful before, became much harder to operate with.

Especially about this :

For Example, at the D-Day invasion, Americans need to storm the German bunker and capture it.
Germans firing stationary MGs, Mortar fires and Artillery strikes raining, Allies need to keep moving.

And the key to Allied assault at the German bunker was a BAR.
BAR could make a way through to the bunker while moving and suppress german stationary MGs,
Being used similar to german FG 42, but only limited for the gunners.

But by this update, It became impossible. To fire the BAR we have to stop and stand still, and German
Snipers and Mortars crush them up in No time.

We need some ā€œExceptionsā€ for the Nerf.

Conclusion

Of course, the MGs like MG 34, MG 42 and DP 27 needs a slight nerf, yes I agree.
But with ones like BAR, ZB-26, Breda mod.30, and etc.? Nah.

we need an exception for the MGs without Sustained fire abilities,
or it would make the game more hard and Polarized.

Emergency murican main -123 breach the conteinement
All this speak for say i need buff on bar please dev

All MG’s have ā€œsustained fire capabilitiesā€ - jsut some have more such capabilities than others.

You need a better cutoff point than something as ill-defined as that.

Eg ZB-26 sustained fire equipment can still be purchased today - https://www.ima-usa.com/products/original-wwii-czech-zb-26-sustained-fire-set?variant=25653040069

Experimental BAR sustained fire equipment from Sprinfield Armory - obviously never made, because hte BAR would have had sub-standard SF capabiliteis - but not none at all!

Well but we dont have those equipments in game, do we?
20rnds capacity cant make it thet easy while germans are firing infinite-ammo MG 42s.

Not a buff actually, all I want is a Rollback.

also just to make sure,

Thing about BAR was just an Example.

Not only BAR, but others also needs an Rollback.

No rollback the dev says they go to change completely how lmg work in the game so get used to it

Can I see where?

Sure wait i link the topic

Ok is in the clouster of message click on the post

Tldr: Shooting on the move will also be redesigned in the future. we also don’t like machine gunners who run around with heavy weapons in their outstretched hands and destroy entire squads.

We don’t have the ability to reply in every thread, but we count EVERY feedback here: Your feedback about last update

And any change takes time. Nothing happens miraculously. This is a demanding job that moves faster if you support the developers, and not offend them, accusing them of ignoring the players. In the examples above (our plans), this is clearly visible.

satisfied now?

Checked it.
Well about the Heavy-MGs I strongly about what they have said.

but I still don’t kinda agree about the Lighter ones I think.
If they must gotta Nerf those, They should nerf FG 42 also I think.

But well thanks for that quote

Fg42 is classified like a semi-automatic rifle so or they replace her with another wapons or her stay like this

We don’t have any heavy machinegun equipment in the game at all, so raising that as some sort of issue is pretty pointless! :stuck_out_tongue:

There are no real ā€œheavyā€ MG’s in game as infantry weapons (in the sense of e.g. a .50 cal weapon).

Still, some MG’s are heavier than others. What is kind of a conceptional error is to assume that the heavier MG has a stronge recoilo and is harder to control: Actually the opposite should be true, because a hevaier weapon firing the same (or a similar) shell should be easier to handle, as the inertia of the heavier weapon helps stabilize it somewhat while firing.

If that effect is strong enough, well , I’m not sure…

After testing it alot yesterday, I realized the lmg nerf isn’t enormous or game breaking. In fact it didn’t impact my play style at all, as I was already using lmgs as intended I suppose.

The only thing I’d like the devs to correct is the bipod mechanics. It’s wonky right now: sometimes your soldier will just stop using it when laying on the ground, a bit like mortarmen decided to just stop aiming and stand up some time ago. Also when using bipods on the ground your guy will sometime go backward one ft or two, because. The prompt when wanting to mount on a window is sometimes difficult to get fast. Lastly, the angle, again when mounted on windows, is too restricted.

Apart from the bipod mechanics, I don’t see any problem with lmgs, even after the nerf. Still deadly. Still perfectly usable in very close quarters (doesn’t matter if you spray everywhere if the enemy is at an arm lenght in front of you) the only thing they seem to have nerfed is those who run and gun (something I never did with such a tool so… I couldn’t care less 🤷)

Full agree, outside of that the ā€œrun and gunā€ tactic not working, nothing changed.
But I would make excerpions for this mechanic for BAR, chauchat and FG42 as I have said 4 times already.

It seems to me the easiest way to do this would be by weight or feed system. If it is under a certain weight or if it is magazine feed then it is designed to be fired on the move …

Agreed. I was expecting my guns to be ruined, but after playing yesterday, the only thing that really bugged me was the slow aiming time for the MG13. I only run it on 1 squad because it is maxed and a cool looking gun, but it felt sooo slow to aim. But for all my other lmgs (MG34 or DP) not much changed. I noticed a bit more inconsistency when going prone (unmounted because that is buggy as hell), but I was still able to crouch & burst fire when needed. And the few times I had to hipfire, they were point blank so didn’t matter (which is pretty much the only time I hipfired in the past).

Though the bipod in windows is infuriating. Spend a couple seconds in front of the enemy moving back and forth trying to find the ā€œrightā€ spot on the window. And even then, half the time it mounts in a way that results in your bullets hitting the lip of the windowsill and doing reduced damage + having given away your location.

We really need exceptions to nerfing things in a game because people may just be fucking dog shit. Been 2 years since I haven’t been first or second and I’m degusted not by the weapon spray, rpm, or damage but the lack of effort from these god damn HUMAN BEINGS.
