At this point, we desperately need an official Soviet BR5 guide - I literally can’t figure out how to win matches. Setting aside Soviet tanks’ glaring weaknesses, let’s focus purely on BR5 rifles:
The AVS and AVT rifles are objectively worse than the FG42 in every aspect: slower fire rate, smaller mags, and harsher recoil. Sure, the Federov is well, but how are we supposed to counter 9-man German squads when we only get 4 Federovs across 7 soliders?
Don’t even get me started on the PPSh, AS44, and RD44 - they’re irrelevant at BR5. Anything that can’t kill with one bullet will never be meta at this tier.
As someone who’s mained this game for four years, I’ve got no clue how Soviet BR5 queues are supposed to compete with Germany. Unless the devs can actually explain how this is supposed to happen.

rd44 has no movement penalty and is easily the most controllable mg in the game, im sorry if you cant properly utilize any of the tools the ussr has
Fedorov Rifle/MG/Avtomat = better than anything that Germany has
AS-44 = straight upgrade to STG44
RD-44 = best TT lmg in the game
PPSh-41 drum = best TT smg in the game
RMN-50 = usable even at BR5, and since grenade rifle nerfs it’s only nade launcher that can still murder groups of the enemies
LAD = not a single German smg can have 150 rounds
NKVD Tommies = do i need to add more?
AT-44 = after a buff it’s the best mid range AR in the game perfect accuracy with above average rof

AVS has better dispersion, velocity , damage and ads speed than the FG
the only things the FG got going for it is slighty better reload and recoil + a 20rd mag instead of 15 but the stupidly high rof in the FG42II negates that advantage
AS 44 is better than the STG 44 whilest also having higher velocity and less dispersion
rd44 is unironically an AR with 100rds since they removed the movement penalty

yes thats true but soviet 9mans are still better than german 9mans and also still with body armor over range the FG fails to kill soviets since the body armor reduces the 15.3 dmg to 13.8 whilest also having worse dispersion
Three and they have higher value than even 9 FGs. Plus i can carry 1-2 Fedorov Avtomats which are also leagues above FG42 II and 1-3 Fedorov Rifles that as you may have guessed are leagues above FG42 II
After a buff to AVT-40 and AVS-36 they are really strong. So i dunno why you are complaining so much while rest of your guns are TOP1 in the game. I have never used 9x german rifleman squad as FG42 II was so weak and unreliable.
