this on other hand is much more complicated. if you want it to have historical capacity as LMG, then they would need to remove 100 belt in run and gun style(max 50 rounds with drum/belt). anything with 100+ rounds would need deployment and stationary position.

Thatās its own balance issue, adding other ridiculously powerful items to the tech tree isnāt a fix.
To humour this for a moment though, thereās already been steps made to try balance this and reduce s*icide rocket runs with a timer, and thereās usually only 1 plane at any one time doing this, usually at least.

t20 and hyde at least have similar performance to fg42 and stg44. adding mg42 with 1500 rounds and high ammo capacity should exist to counter what exactly? m1919a6 with 550rpm and 100 rounds? maxim tokarev with 660rpm and 100 rounds? rd44 with lower damage, 830rpm and 100 rounds?
mg42 with 1200 rpm and 100 rounds would perfectly counter stinger if devs actually fixed it.
