Sincerely, with each and every thread where you bring up this ridiculous MG42 rhetoric, of which itâs information you never validate by anything other than the anecdotal, or the smallest and least credible âevidenceâ (which is mostly contextual falsehoods slapped on top of photos.) only serves to diminish any and all arguments you provide as reasoning for a TT LMG that vastly surpassed everything else in the entire game, outside of 2 event stinger LMGS.
If you made the argument for a particular MG42 or LMG of similar fire rate and ammunition size to be an event weapon, given out in the same quantity it wouldnât be that much of a problem. But every single time you keep parroting for this to be a TT weapon, when itâs not the standard issue LMG (as youâve described) that was provided to German machinegunners it is frankly absurd.
As what youâve said of this 250 round belt and absurd firerate for an infantry gun has been disproven by many, many others that have shown actual credible evidence, that has been further corroborated by numerous other sources that tells the same story, the guns you keep pointing too are intended for stationary positions or aircraft, of which there are said gun already in the game.
Please provide all your source information, for your claims. Stop providing anecdotal evidence. Show the documentation of various credible sources to prove that German Machinegunners even had 250 round belts to begin with. If youâre going to make such claims you need to provide proof.
Do some more research, stop being blinded by your biases and come at the topic from a new angle and make a reasonable suggestion for such an incredibly powerful weapon to be an event item, or please try to refrain from making such ridiculous arguments.

In my oppinion the MG42 should finally get its historical firerate of roundabout 1200rpm, which it should have had right on from the beginning.
German ammo belts (âZerfallgurteâ) were mostly transported containing 50 rounds each and were interlinkable. Just link 5 up for a 250 belt of you want (in rl).
Ingame iâm completely satisfied with 100 rounds btw.

200 round belts would be much better.
Because the usual ammo reserve for a BR5 MG is 200 (400 with a large ammo bag) rounds.
A 250 round belt would mean up to 100 more rounds than average.

and would be historically more correct cause german MG had to change barrel after every 150-200 rounds fired.
What I want is one level two BAR, the lowest base model with the highest recoil would do, and one level four BAR with a 40 round mag.
