We all know that, the BR system will ruin the game, I have a solution

What makes you believe that fewer people will manipulate a sbmm system than a br system for the explicit purpose of exploiting noobs?

What metrics should be used to determine ranking in a sbmm system beyond the current ranking system?

My biggest concern with a sbmm is that I’ll be forced to use the best equipment available if I want any chance of doing well or even surviving in a match. I like having the option of not using a fully automatic equipped squad. Is there a solution to that problem?

I dont know how current system is notable less newbie sucky than br one. SBMM is questionable in game full of bots.

That was answered 3 fucking times already but if that’s really difficult to read I can say it a fourth time, SOMETHING IS BEING DONE over nothing is being done. Your argument has the same energy as: if people are able to cheat even with a anti cheat why we don’t take it off for once.

Not my job to say what can be used, reasonably fair matchmakings exist on the market and trying to put on me this weight is trying to purposefully derail the argument without addressing the point. BUT just as a general idea imagine something that is based on your battle awards for example, not many ways of manipulating them as a veteran player playing with absolutely anything will perform reasonably good with it and get battle awards even when he may not want to.

SBMM can make mixed matches with the same number of equally skilled player on each side from several skill levels for example.

But as a general rule I think is egotistical to think on my fun as more important than the fun of the new player that I will be ruining playing against them, I enjoy the game not the sensation of smashing newbies on it.

That’s not really an answer though. Your whole argument seems hyperbolic and not really based on anything but your fear that veteran players will intentionally prey on new players en masse. I admit it’s possible, but it really doesn’t seem likely since most players seem to want to use the best gear they have all the time.

I’m not a big fan of a br system, but I remain unconvinced that a “skill based” system is any better. Especially given the fact that you can’t define the rules even though you are an outspoken proponent of the system

And as I said before, this community convinced themselves of this shit, again, I just would like them to fucking admit they don’t care about the new player experience.

  1. br system is more newbie friendly than the one we are having now (aka something is being done)
  2. why do you need to have skill protection for newbies? why dont you just put them in pve for first 1000 matches for total protection

yes it exists on

  1. games that are much bigger with much larger playerbase
  2. games that require less players for every battle to MM
  3. games that have equality in starting terms (equipment, economy etc. )
  4. games that dont conform to strict MM rules like nations vs nation

is someone equally skilled if he has BA and pz2 and is performing equally well as someone with fedorov and is2? not to mention you only have limited amount of people in MM pool before you need to make a match. can you guarantee that high skilled players will be only matched against high skilled players? can you guarantee both sides get equally skilled players? if you cant what is the point of sbmm?

this is casual game that matches players of different skill levels. sometimes you will end up against players vastly superior to you. sometimes you will end up against players vastly inferior to you. what newbie needs is not protection against skill, but a chance to fight on equal grounds.
