War Thunder crossover and orders rework

I was thinking, since this game shares so much with War Thunder it would be really cool if there was a subtle meta game that encouraged people to crossover to Enlisted and vice versa to War Thunder.

As of right now you redeem an order and you instantly receive a new weapon. We all know that’s mighty unrealistic and while not knowing what you’re going to receive is fun I think we can change things up.

Orders will have an 8-24hr window where they are “in transit” to the front. Now during that time if you go play War Thunder and bomb a factory or bomb a train that information is then sent back to Enlisted and your new weapons you ordered are potentially destroyed or further delayed from arrival.

This could tie in well with the “world war” mode or Enduring confrontation available in War Thunder. The reverse could be true in enlisted, if the Germans capture an airfield your planes cost 2x as much to repair for 10 hours or something like that.

The details and variables regarding costs and benefits can obviously be worked out but the bottom line is to create an impactful habitat where War Thunder players are incentivized to join enlisted and vice versa seeing as their games would be inextricably linked with one another.

What other fun ways do you think could tie the two together or incentivizing cross over?

thanks, I try to really put thought into my ideas because I want to see the game thrive for a very long time.
Can i ask why you don’t like the idea? what would you change?

I don’t want to play War Thunder
I don’t want others to play War Thunderr

Destroying people’s goods is like the psychotic shit you do to other players in GTAO and I’d like that to die with that game.

The best approach is to nuke it, and never speak of it again. I’ve played WT from 2013 to 2020, I do not want to touch that game ever again. I do not want to be forced to touch that hellhole ever again, I do not want ANYONE ELSE to be forced to touch that hellhole again.

This 100%
TCO said it better than I could’ve

What about a promotional season where logging into your war thunder account and doing a few battles per day unlocks temporary perks in Enlisted like XP multipliers or orders.

No.

Every idea that requires you to log into ANOTHER game that you may or may not despise in order to get rewards in the game you ACTUALLY want to play is a disgusting idea.

I didn’t pay to play Enlisted early, and I didn’t download Enlisted because I want to play War Thunder, I downloaded enlisted FOR enlisted.

There’s no punishment for skipping that event. Would you prefer if there was a gold amount you could spend to skip the event and still reap the rewards?

Whole idea was an attempt to drum up more players for Enlisted by leveraging the already existing infrastructure of War Thunder.

Any interaction with War Thunder is more likely to hurt Enlisted and their bottom line more than anything.

What if there was a special battlemode that enabled Warthunder crossplay.

2 slots per team, permenant vehicle slots, War Thunder players could queue up and duke it out over a combined arms battlefield and seemlessly try out Enlisted without even delving into a full install.

Or we can just, not interact with War Thunder in any way, shape or form.

Enlisted events should remain on Enlisted. Not be attached to a separate game.

I’m with this, but dicking on WT tankers in Enlisted sounds pretty tempting @67929529
You shouldn’t be FORCED to interact with WT for temporary rewards or not. FOMO isn’t a good way towards player retention.

Yeah I’m totally with you. Nothing should be forced and I’m not necessarily suggesting baiting anyone either.

So there’s a theme you like, how would you implement a potentially very LIMITED crossplay? Obviously no rebalancing would be done to accomodate the War Thunder players. If they don’t like getting slapped by infantry AT guns, well oh well.

No.

Gaijin would need to change the WT rating to 18+, which they already stated they don’t want to do that, and it’s why playable infantry will never exist in WT. We’ve had the playable infantry conversation a lot with them.

Therefore, no.

The recent PVE event had crew manned ATGMs and stuff. We’re not far off now.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that recent PVE test mentioned above wasn’t a hint at it. But TCO is right about the silly PEGI rating as well.
I wouldn’t know how to tie the two together for an event honestly. You’d have to have both games installed or some form of supplementary download. I could see people being turned off by that alone. How would YOU do it?

No. The games are unrelated to each other. One should not be forced to play both.

Random chance punishment is absolute trash tier suggestion. The ONLY thing you should EVER punish a player for is unintended behavior, such as walking in front of an enemy tank.

We’ve had those before, it’s nothing new. The devs themselves stated years ago that it’s very different to have AI “people” you can kill, and actual players that you kill.

The first group can be just written off as robots, there’s no blood, no anything, for actual players, people will want blood, we will want realistic physics, body parts, etc, which means higher age rating.
