I don’t remember climb rate and turn, but I know they are all worse than P-47.
Throw in the fact that the P-47 has a way better bomb load…why spend money? Some of these premiums are just useless and a waste. Plane looks cool as H though.

P47 and P38 are the best plane in the game.
You will rarely encounter any real threat like the Bf109 anyway. So it’s enough.
I am an absolute sucker for ground attack planes and have wasted money on the Hurricane IID (Vickers S Cannons don’t work), the Typhoon (Hispano cannons don’t work), and the Lagg-34 (OMG! It works!)
It’s an absolute kick in the balls that the idiots like me who are bankrolling the development of this game get screwed over almost every time.

I have them and the bf110 with the 101mm cannon, it had no explosions before, but they fixed that. As for the others, yeh typhoon is fast, but canons are messed up atm.
Same for Spit MkVc, cannons bugged it seems.
They are all a huge waste, some are just a little less useless than others. That’s why I was advocating for the ability to change primary weapons on premium squads to bring them back into relevance.

First off it’s a Tempest not a Typhoon. Secondly, it takes the fighter slot not the attacker slot, and it’s a fighter with the same payload as the P-51D. Finally, it is a high altitude fighter, so it’s climb rate is kind of absurd. Now the Hispanos are a little fucky right now, but that is most likely desync and not the guns themselves. I’d wait for them to patch it and then get this plane,which will probably coincide with when it finally goes on sale.

As a rule of thumb the highest campaign tree squads will always be better than even the most expensive premium squads. What you pay for is speed-up campaign progress - at the price of somewhat less performance.
Once you understood that principle you’ll realize that it absolutely make no sense to buy even the newest and coolest premium squads once you’ll unlocked the highest ranks of a campaign. And most „cheaper“ premium squads will become plain useless already mid-campaign. Which is a waste if you ask me as it’s a counterproductive strategy to raise funds as no seasoned player will buy them and everyone gets unhappy once these overpriced squads lost their usefulness.
