Imo they would work better as the last reward in some event, like Fiery November.
That was they would be strongly limited in numbers and not obtainable after the event ends.

I agree, I would love to see the flamethrower panzer 3, Sherman and T-34 variant, but they should be limited to events to stop everyone running around with them
Flamethrower tank will be like suicide plane if they implement it.
