Walking, sprinting and bayonet charge

the normal walk should be more realistic, make the weapons sway/wobble more when walking.

the running/sprinting should be alot faster with better camera wobble, like how the running/sprinting is in red orchestra 2. make it so that charging/running is basically the same speed, in other words basically realistic.

this is in order to reduce the feel of a walking simulator, and make the movement fit with the way game works, which is fast paced.

the robotic bayonet charge should be changed so it looks more realistic and less robotic, take for example the red orchestra 2 bayonet charge

now take a look at enlisted’s bayonet charge animation

i think everyone gets the point by now, the bayonet charge in RO2 actually looks like you’re charging into certain death, while enlisted bayonet charge looks like we’re taking a saturday morning jog.

what makes the bayonet charge bad is the gun position, it shouldn’t be positioned at the hip, but rather inline with the shoulders, and the gun being tilted to the left about 45° , something like how battlefield V has done it

Agree with all of it except this. There are a few ways to charge with the bayonet, one of them is how you pointed but another one can be charging like in Enlisted. The first one is famous because of some other games and movies, while the latter was mainly taught before and during WW1.

I mean, the recommended one is the one you said, but it’s not completely wrong how they did it.

The way how the person hold the gun with one hand at there side while they were sprinting in red orchestra 2 is how they sprinted in WW2 and I think it would be a cool animation to add to enlisted

i get that but the current bayonet charge doesnt look like theres alot of options to make it less robotic

thats one thing i would want, then we could get faster running/animations

with that, the pistol animations should be changed aswell, so the soldier holds the pistol with one hand instead of 2, like how it was taught back then

It would make the animations look much better

i know, the current animations don’t look like the soldier is sprinting/running, and they certainly dont feel like it either. more camera shake and better animations would give us the idea that we’re in a life and death type of situation

Yep. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see a good animation for the bayonet charge and so many other stuff, but considering the problems we’re having atm… We can keep waiting

i agree on that, there is alot of work. so much work that it’ll induce a headache.

but one thing at a time can improve everything, i just pray that they get a bigger devteam to do stuff for them, or rather offload some of the work to random people
