In many cases, developers do not seem to know how many people support a proposal.
I hope they will post player votes on forums, discord, reddit, etc. to know if players support suggestions or not.
This is true democracy!
I’d rather not because it adds a new layer of nonsense to discussions that changes nothing.
However I would like a way for suggestions that aren’t controversial to stay bumped and active. Seems like the only time a suggestion stays up is if people are arguing in it constantly, and threads that everyone agrees on die quickly.
well, currently, there’s a team of helper that watch our feedbacks and suggestions ( along side keofox to my understanding ) gather them, send them over the developers which then those said developers or who of duty get to decide what will be implemented, or not.
i doubt this is gonna change anytime soon.
They like botton already work as upvote, remember the guy wo reach almost 90 like asking for a roadmap at third stalingrad delay?
They dont give us a a roadmap even with that record of like
lots of my suggestions has staggering numbers, and yet none of them take place.
( gold order one, around 80 and suggestion for rework on cosmetic, 90s )
so… yeah, no roadmap, no cosmetics enhancement. and other " lovely things "
Since when do you like democracy?
Anyway the harsh reality is that the devs dont have ehm consumer preferences as a high priority. They once made a poll about mines, yet we could only “vote” for their ideas and surprise their idea suck and didnt solve mine spam. So as long as we have to pick DFs solutions it would be pointless in most cases.
And votes are not the solution here… at least mostly. Take the BA buff as example. I remember the first thread which wanted to undo it. 60+likes. Wow. Three days later another thread. 15-20 likes. Ehm Yeah. And so it moved on until the anti-ba buff threads and likes recieve(d) like 5 likes at best.
An interesting fact: during the Cold War, the slogan of the Warsaw Pact was democracy and the slogan of NATO was freedom. However, after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, “democracy” was put on the western signboard
“Vote” ?
They need to turn on the game, play 1 match with tryhards on both sides to figure out all the games issues
Another interesting fact: I dont care.
Guess a Normandy battle with Tiger, Panther and Jumbo and P-47 spamers is a life-changer.
I think most of us and the devs got the wrong definition of “fun”
Our:
Slower, more realistic WW2 game, that doesnt focus on full auto like in arcade games, doesnt have super cancerous exploits
Devs:
We think every soviet soldier had an AVT40 in stalingrad and Berlin? AVS and PPSH for everyone in Moscow too? We think that the MKB was a standard issue weapon in moscow and stalingrad? Oh and every german soldier had a FG42 as well.
Federov was a part of the standart soviet kit during Berlin and moscow right? righhht?
- AA guns were only used for anti-personnel yeah? *
During WW2 every pilot was a hero kamikaze which would sacrifice his life right?
Every soldier had a massive dynamite stick that can take out any tank if you have half a brain cell?
I agree. They should put up like 5 topics a week that they ask for votes on. This way, we’ll received ideas are noted both for devs and players.
The only vote they worry about is the money vote.
There was never a mine spam and there isn’t one now, the poll was all about adding changes for the mines being more effective as : bigger activation range, mine icon when triggered etc
Well. There are some people who complain .
And irrc AT mines were and are useless while AP mines were effective. Otherwise people wouldnt use them.
But I admit I dont remember the correct reason for the poll anymore.
