I think a little mistake I’ve noticed is that the volkssturm has a uniform and even a helmet when it almost always didn’t.
The Volkssturm who had a helmet and a uniform were the lucky ones since most of them wore civilian clothes and it was very difficult to get a helmet and even a uniform
(Although the current uniform is not erronous)
But in my opinion I think that to avoid the development team I do a very long and exhausting work
The best option is that some volkssturm squads have the current uniform and others the civilian uniform.
Some photos of the volkssturm:
I would also like to see beyond this the dress uniforms. Near the end of the conflict, that was what many people fought in because it was all they had.
It would be nice to see a bunch of civilian dressed fighters in Berlin, and being able to shoot off their fedoras.
Having Russians kill civilians would make them look bad and we all know Darkflow/Gaijin won’t let that happen and harm the image of the motherland
Since there is no non-combatants in this game and you may shoot anything that moves, it wouldn’t hurt to have some Volkssturm dressed in their civilian clothing. I look forward to roleplaying as an elderly tram conductor with a panzerfaust and nothing else.
Cool in therory and i would really like this but you wouldnt see them often. They would only used by new players and for a short time
Humm. What about A squad with kids in berlin for maximal historical accuracy? :o
Would they even be allowed to do so?
Looking at the prem VS squad it is possible.
It would be a good idea, but knowing how sensitive people are and if I’m not mistaken Gaijin has twitter and it’s not going to end well
I don’t think so, because an unarmed and innocent civilian is not the same as an armed civilian who can be said to be a milician
Remember, according to Russia they didn’t invade Poland, if they’ll deny that I’m sure this wouldn’t be any different
I’d like to see more foreign weapons for the Volkksturm and German troops in the game as a whole. Have captured Carcanos and Mannlichers being pressed into service, and have Gewehr 1888s and 88/05s being pulled back onto the battlefield.
