Today i won in Berlin just with my Volkssturm guys!
MP 3008 is not great, but still a fun gun fully upgraded! VG-2 is fun too, same as Kriegsmodel. Only shame is there is no Volkssturm MG.

i am pretty sure the patronentrommel was only really used in vehicles/aircraft and as AA. so running around with them as infantry is kind of volkssturm ish

I’d rather say MG42 is volksturm-ish.
MG34 was more expensive and required more maintnance than MG42. The later one was supposed to be cheap and mass produced.
Also as you’ve said, patronentrommel was supposed to be used for/against aircraft so I suppose it wouldn’t be given to random guy conscripted yesterday.
Yeah was thinging that too. Tbh, im gonna finish Berlin campaign only with Volkssturm weapons just for that fun.

well they kinda just threw all they had at the soviets at the time. if they had some patronentrommels laying around, its not unlikely someone would have sent them to the front in desperation, regardless of the soldiers skill level

Hmm Maybe the Germans scrapped non operable tanks, APCs and planes in Berlin and gave the VS some mickey mouse MG34s. At least that would be a cooler and logical explanation/ justification here than the Drilling and FG.

Yeah but still I’d say that this weapon would be given to somewhat experienced troops as it was quite easy to jam it.

Drilling in campaigns outside Africa are just bunch of crap. And biggist bullshit is Pilots cant have it, even when it is only for them lol.

You can say anything about Df but they really care about sustainability looking at their recycling rate.

its kinda weird that pilots cant equip the drilling, even in tunisia. design choices like this make me question what the devs are on

I was more thinking 5 man Medic squad all with ERMA SMGs, i would even do that, but as i cant transfer CZ pistol as well, im not gonna Do that, ai those pistols would be wasted.
