Can you guys please go back and change the detpacks bouncing on tanks? It’s freaking disgusting to see some good additions and good changes but at the same time with every update 5 more problems show up. And now we have to adapt to this issue calculating in our minds how to be able to destroy tanks and how detpacks are going to react. I mean, I wouldn’t be so pissed if it wasn’t for the comic where you recommend us where to aim and where to throw the TNT packs.
-
An item that is light enough to throw as far as you do in game is not likely to just stop dead upon impact. Its going to bounce. Solution to the issue: cook the grenade a bit more.
It’s only really an issue if you aren’t properly cooking your grenades, rather just spamming them in a tanks direction. -
I wouldn’t be opposed to them being sticky IF they greatly reduced the blast power, so they would only disable light armor pieces (such as tracks), rather than outright kill tanks.
AT soldiers, AT mines, TNT mines are all underutilized simply because this GRENADE is somehow so much stronger.
I am getting over this crappy problem by aiming my det packs right at the bottom of the tracks. It is working but I’d like it to go back to how it used to be . As I have said before, they are behaving like ping pong balls now
I have just been in practice, I think the best way over the problem is to hit the ground just before the tracks, it takes the momentum out of the throw and leaves almost no bounce once the pack hits the tracks.
Sadly, considering the abuse of this thing, this ping pong physics actually “balances” the explosive pack
You might be right MR 87. It’s a case of us having to adapt.
FFS man, completely irritating, and they don’t seem to be interested in fixing it (I’m mainly saying this because we haven’t had any messages from them regarding this issue).
Bro, of course it’s not going to stop dead upon impact, but considering its “a bunch of dynamite sticks” I really don’t think they’re going to bounce as much as they do… just watch the video up there and… You’ll see.
About cooking the detpack, it’s the same, but with the problem that if it explodes mid-air or it bounces and half a second after bouncing explodes you freaking die. So… It’s not about cooking them or not.
Ooof, no, I’m already imagining the esports guys buying 500 detpacks to throw them alll directly to you…
They fucking SUCK, either they do literally nothing to the tank or they blow the tank up and kill you, even if you’re behind cover, it’s completely unstable and I still remember how the introduced them in every campaing even against our advice ('cause we suffered it in Stalingrad).
Yeah, i’ve been doing the same, problem is that the tank won’t receive any damage or you’ll kill yourself (if you wanna be precise with the throwing).
I’ll give a try then, the things we have to do 'cause they break the game every month…
But at the same time, detpacks are unstable af, a few months ago you could either blow up a tank by placing it right on top of it or right next to the tank, or the detpack would be like a kiss to the armour of the tank…
Go into practice and try it out, Romeo, I find it works well front and back of the tank also, but obviously you need to be aware of the direction of the tank for that to work
Rofl, there are no “Esports” leagues for Enlisted that I am aware of.
It seems more so that you haven’t fully gotten a grasp on how they work yet then, because I use them to VERY strong effect. Allow me to explain:
The blast primarily goes UP and a bit to the SIDES, but very little of it actually goes DOWN.
This means that to actually do heavy (or lethal) damage to a tank, it needs to go off in the right spot.
- Underneath works pretty well, especially under critical components.
- Between where the tracks meet the body of the tank works pretty well.
- As best as you can, getting it near the turret RING will usually kill.
If its a heavily armored tank, you will need to be even more precise.
I also carry them to get through fortifications (all of my assaulters and flamethrowers carry them).
They wipe out large amounts of barbwire and sandbag walls, can quickly and easily deal with weapon emplacements, even take out Czech Hedgehogs when placed underneath of them!
I know, that’s why I’m saying that, have you not seen the people I’m talking about? They take this game as some sort of esports videogame.
Lol, I’ve tried this countless times, but the problem is not if you know how to use them or not. problem here is that they’re inconsistent af, sometimes they’re super useful, some other times they suck, that’s why my answer. And hey, I understand that maybe it’s on purpose, they wanted to create some stuff that simulates real life, funny thing is: they do it this way when it’s convenient for them or their… Vision of the world?
Anyway, I’ll keep testing them in the practice field, 'cause I know thy’re super effective against buildings, sandbags, etc…
Okay bro, I’ll listen to your advice bro, you’re right bro, I need to be a chad like you bro, sorry bro .
That’s so funny
You’re not wrong
Thank you for letting us know !
We need to be like this guy, we need to learn how to git good in life.
