Let us do a little trolling Darkflow. We will play nice, promise.

they can make option to enable VoIP which will be disabled as default, once enabled an icon will display on scoreboard so you’ll be aware that other players may hear you.

additionally, there’s could be option to set which language you use, and in battle, if there’s a person who may speak but does speak any other language then it won’t display any icon (+ not letting you two speak) just to avoid international speakers clashing with each other.

and it could display which language does player from your team use if you’ve set multiple choices in the options.

Discord?

No, in-game VOIP.

You shouldn’t have to lower your fps so that you can talk in-game.

did we go back 20-25 years in past? ffs even then i was using teamspeak without almost any hit to fps, not to mention using external voip now with modern processors.

it already exists.
IIRC it is available for stacks.
here is bind for it:

lol so don’t have your VOIP enabled if you don’t like it. Or mute people individually :deaf_man:

But to entirely remove/disable the feature, is beyond lame. Especially for the players who have been around since Halo 1 and Halo 2, and the early Call of Duty games, when open-microphone VOIP was a non-issue. Those were the days.

Bro, not everyone has a PC

only works with squad mates

and people were less sensitive. also you had private servers with admins who removed unwanted behavior.

and discord is usable on consoles and it shouldnt use that much cpu resource that would affect any fps.

like i said for stacks

It is still using CPU, why should people go to an outward source that uses CPU when all of this can be solved by adding VOIP?

Why would you only want a select group of teammates to talk and communicate while the entire lobby can communicate with each other for better strategy?

yes one of multiple CPU cores that is mostly unused. btw even if it was implemented in game it would still use extra CPU resources.

cause people are assholes and they dont want to moderate voice chat cause they would need to listen to hours of reported players in dozens of languages.

cause this is casual game. i admit that i would curse my teammates cause most of the time they play like retards… ffs before asking voip, ask for team chat to be visible to console players…

If so, why would it be bad for there to be a VOIP in Enlisted?

You clearly have never heard of a mute button.

Having VOIP doesn’t make Enlisted Casual or Competitive. TF2, Sea of Thieves, Gmod, Portal, Borderlands, Dying Light, and VR have VOIP yet they are casual. How is this so?

I will sincerely suggest you to use discort. (and buy a better computer if such a program breaks your PC). What percentage of people in this age where there are so many options for team speak, still want a feature like voip? (except those who play on antiques, no irony)

But why? Do none of you want this game to be independent?

it already is in enlisted, i was just making counter argument about your argument that it uses CPU resources and lowers fps. my argument is that external voip mostly doesnt affect fps in modern systems (doesnt matter if PC or console).

and you clearly dont know that there is report button that spams devs. just as forums are moderated, they would need to moderate the voip. also you can get sanctions for text chat, but that is much easier to check than voice.

voip is necessity in competitive games, while it is not in casuals. TF2, Gmod and Portal inherited voip from HL/source. borderlands and dying light are coop and probably have mechanisms for host to kick players and idk about sea of thieves.
games that have voip also need moderators. in early days of fps it was easy cause you had private servers, but now with devs hosting servers they also need to moderate them.
no voip = no moderation = no extra cost for hosting servers.
