VMP 1926 forty round magazine (sources?)

So, I have kinda a weird question. When the recent update hit, the first thing I’ve checked out was the new battle pass weapons. And I was very surprised to find out that the in-game VMP 1926 has a 40 round drum. Because when I was reading about it before, as I do for all BP weapons, all of the sources said that it had a capacity of only 25 rounds, with some saying: “25 rounds (other sources say 32)”.

So I started looking for this, and after some time I found a series of articles on The Firearms Blog about the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung Koblenz - Bundeswehr’s arms collection/museum. One of them was about SMGs, and in one of the photos was the VMP 1926 with a label describing it, and it indeed said “Magazine capacity: 40 rounds” Here’s said photo:

Btw, this museum seems to have “inspired” Darkflow in multiple ways: besides the VMP 1926, there are also other BP weapons in Koblenz - a Suomi KP/-26 and a G 43 DFE.

So, my question is: Does anyone have some other sources that can confirm this?

Imo, that trommel is too small to hold 40 rounds.

I know, it was kinda weird for me - how did they get that number? But then I found that photo of the gun in Koblenz museum, so I asked here.
Because on the one hand - I don’t know about any other sources that confirm the 40 round capacity, bu on the other hand, guys in that museum have the gun, so I doubt they didn’t check this before writing on the label.

Maybe, but it depends on the construction of the drum. If it was a “single stack” drum - with rounds arranged in just one circle in the magazine, like for example the artillery Luger magazine in it’s drum part, then it would probably be a 25 rounder. If it has more than one “stack” of rounds, like for example the PPSh-41 drum, then it would easily have 32 round or maybe even 40.
