It can be done considering these pouches are separated from outfits in the editor. Same goes to pistol holsters, binoculars etc. But the problem would be the people who have spent orders on things that will no longer look the same.

I personally would love to have it this way, instead of having multiple versions of one single uniform, gear would change its appearance. I would love to see my pistols and meele weapons be visible on my soldiers as well
