i would equip all of my soldiers with secondaries and have the VG1-5 being that secondary weapon or, in the case of assaulters

make Vg1-5 (semi auto only weapon) avaiable to other troops like M1 Carbine is in normandy campaign.
A semi auto have no place in an Assault Only squad when they can bring smg’s more powerfull than any semi auto ingame in their role.

I agree with everything you’ve posted about the VG 1-5.
But I think you’re really reaching now calling this poor fellow happy…is he heading over towards the Brits and Americans to surrender? Because I don’t think he’s going to be very happy otherwise.

no he has his shotgun and his m1c but better so he’s happy

i don’t understand why this isn’t a trooper weapon, fg42’s and even gewehr 43’s both do more damage so it’s not like this would be an OP addition for other classes.

It’s been a year and still the VG1-5 seems to be an assault-only weapon.
I have no complaints about the performance of the weapon, but it is strange that it is an assault-only weapon with this performance.
