Veteran Boxes are something that’s fun to play with for those of us with a little extra silver lying around—however, I’m not going to gamble away all of silver trying to win the few things that I want. How many of you would rather have old squads, weapons, etc. just put up for sale for gold, silver, experience points, or some combination of these financial mechanisms that are used in the game? Then, we can simply purchase what we want if the prices aren’t too outrageous.
Do any of you have any other ideas as to how we could acquire old items that we want without having to pull the handle on the red bandit?
Frankly, as someone who has gotten nothing but boosters from the veteran boxes (I am not Dutch and don’t use a VPN); I’d accept the boxes being more expensive in exchange for a good chance of getting something good.
Yes, I’d be OK with that as well—for example, if we had a 25% chance to get a squad that we don’t have. That would be acceptable, especially if we could choose which squad we received. But as it stands right now, we only have a 1% chance of receiving a squad and then… It’s randomly chosen for us. Not acceptable!
I’ve rolled the dice eight times already, and plan on rolling it a few more because I’m leveling up a few squads and fully expect to receive overpriced booster ribbons. But I’m not going to bankrupt myself trying to get the few things I do want. Either they can sell them to me directly, or I can simply live without them.
That’s not how gambling works. Slot machines don’t increase the chances of a jackpot the more you play. You’re taking about some of the best squads in the game that other people grinded months for. Of course they aren’t going to come easy. If they were made for gold the prices definitely wouldn’t be cheap either.
Wow, that’s 400,000 silver! I watched a couple of people on Youtube literally gamble millions of silver and really didn’t get anything of any value.
Personally, I think the devs needed a way to grab back all the silver they’ve been handing out with recent changes (like selling soldiers before the economy change); too many people have silver in the millions and probably weren’t playing as much or spending as much as before. Gambling is always an easy cash grab for the house.
The odds of winning are laid out in plain sight. 1% chance of a squad. And that doesn’t even mean out of 100 boxes you’ll get at least a squad. It’s 1% per roll.
Yeah, that should be enough to make most people think twice, which I am now. It ain’t worth dumping half a million silver just to get some squad that might be cool, but in reality is not needed. Especially when I still have a lot of level 5 building to do with finishing my Germans and starting the Russians.
I am glad however that they started allowing us to cash in our research tree credit as I had over 2 million built for Allies and Germans.
See if it was veterans SHOP it might be better, sure it expensive as hell but it also guarantee what you want. Like a squad could maybe cost 100k silver which is way less or more depending on your luck with enlisted box
Personally after spending 450k for absolutely nothing substantial I think this is better tbh
Well idk maybe they should have thought of a guarantee when they design this but idc now definitely will never try it again that for sure
After all if it just gonna be a gacha with no guarantee and bad rewards I’m not gonna do it anymore cause I have self control unlike some people who sold everything for these box (also I still have 120k left so I’m still fine personally can’t say the same for other tho)
Also seem like everyone completely ignore the shop part of my suggestion great good to see how it is. (To clarify again I still have 120k and earnings 9k silver on average so I’m fine and again like I said I’m used to gacha)
