Vehicle modifications

we should have a bigger variation in vehicle modifications, for example:

-engine modifications types
-suspension types
-drive train types
-optics types
-gun types
-rangefinders
-gun stabilizers
-turret types
-radio types
-gun sights

it should be noted that vehicles such as german tanks were consistently tinkered with, so generally speaking they were constantly improved, with many engine variations out there for example, it would be cool to be able to put a more powerful engine in the tank, in order to increase its speed and mobility, or for example a better and improved gun, with higher penetration, and lower reload speed, or even rangefinders, which would be very helpful in a combat situation

and lets not even begin when it comes to the types of guns and armaments that were improved and added in the tanks.

absolutely not?

everything that i despise in WT should not come here in enlisted.

beside, current upgrades do just ( half of ) those.

and you really don’t need any of those upgrades ( suggested above ) to just use a tank the way it’s supposed to beside how to use it.

the only vehicle midifications i’m all for it, are cosmetics one. not enhancing ones.

i’m not gonna sit my ass off just to grind a tank to properly being able to use it thank you very much.

well, i didnt mean for the tank to be a bare shell as a starter, it should just be without some special stuff such as rangefinder or gun stabilizer.
changing the engine in the tank would also change its sound, making it more difficult to be distinguished.

I’d start very, very simple:

Choose shells type, and amount (carrying less means potentially removing a critical weakness spot at the cost of… well, less shells)

Some vehicles could be salvaged this way:

  • Tunisia Semovente, finally gets HE
  • Moscow pz4s get HEAT without paying 60$…
  • first Sherman in Normandy, more potent shells
  • Etc.

Some vehicles could still remain restricted, like the jumbo for example (that would become lvl 35+ unlock worthy with super shells)

yeah thats never gonna happen, cause DF

well that’d be a good idea but it would be hard to implement, as it has been said before, gaijin staff are allergic to hard work

Depends really

Id be for different “Field Modifications”

Such as:

Tracks, sandbags, logs, concrete as extra armor. (Could help tanks such as the PZIIIJ/1 in Moscow survive a 45mm shot)

Machineguns. Outside mounted ones, such as ones on Stugs or on a Sherman from the movie “Fury” having a .50 and a .30 cal on the turret.

Pretty much why DF will never agree to your own suggestion either… :frowning:

What I would like is for the ability to use 3 shell types per tank and be able to mix and match what I want inside.

Just like it was in the real world.
Most tanks had AP , HE, Smoke , and Canister.

Further to that a lot of tanks could and had equipped APCR , HEAT (even the long barreled German tanks still had shaped charge ammo).

Let us set our loadouts and amount of shells and be done with it.

LMAO

We here at DF only sell these as premiums.

about this( selecting ammo type and shells ), you know what’s " funny " ?

last april, in one of the devs Q&A they had to say this about the matter:

" nearest future "

so… they had the time to add 2 campaigns, but no selection screen for shells.
countless premium squads and features ( that i’m somewhat greatefull for )

and yet, none of what’s inside that paragraph is in the game yet.
oh well…

( p.s. i forgot to stick " will be there an option to select ". primal english at it’s finest from me… well. in my defense, i was cooking. so i guess i had to be a bit faster on the typing… even though it’s what i get paid to do irl. smh )

Thanks for the info. I dont always recall every news article that is released. For me , I always want options to customize things to my playstyle.

For me is better is not here, if change a default helmet with another default helmet cost me 2 gold, how much gonna be expensive have a decent ammo on the veichle

It took them like a year to add “buy in bulk”.
And I won’t even mention option to sell mortars etc.

me neither.

problem is, conversations around here always lead to few points.

which were discussed in the past and still are familiar and similar to today’s ones.

yes, i agree, but not to a point where it gets too much " simpler ". what i mean by that is, i don’t like having jack of all trades available. there must be consequences for actions. ( if i bring arty squad, gonna be powerful but limited to 5 soldiers. ) and stuff like that.

otherwise teamwork becomes less and less a thing in this game. which i guess it’s fine for some people, but not me.

anyway, regarding ammo type, idk. you can have all types of ammo you want, but if damage models are still trash, ( or the server netcode ) there’s only so much you can do…

but that’s my opinion of course.

no clue.

but we saw that pz IV and jumbo with HEAT and ACPR is 60€ so… yikes

yeah i suggested many things, all require hard work, except few sound changes which are basically copy paste, but other than that yeah

Considering some of that is already done with tank upgrades, and even more is done by having your tank crew upgraded, I think it’s good as is. There are already plenty of instances of people sitting in spawns capable of decimating the enemy.

“Our goal, is not only to show full historical aspect of the war , but also to choose period battles which would add gameplay and add some interestring content to the game”

“we do not exclude to add some prototype. but we do not want to make them too much common. as we try to make the game historical as possible. as such, those limited weapons are going to be restricted and/or limited through special squads and events.”

Oof, only a year and a half to break these these rules they set.

HESCO Barriers in the Pacific, MkB (scoped and unscoped) in Moscow, and there’s probably others that i’m missing or forgetting. Not to mention instead of sticking to “battles” they said “fuck it” and went and combined over 50 battles miles across from each other over a span of 4 years.
