the vehicle functions could get some work done to them, the less common vehicles such as kubelwagen, willys jeep, civilian cars, opel blitz and others they could get some small detail work done to them, such as animating the steering wheel working, showing the soldier pressing clutch/gas/brake pedals and shifting gears.
the suspension could get some much appreciated work aswell, right now the vehicles act as if they don’t have suspension, instead it acts like a solid unit which can be quite devastating when going fast and hitting a bump.
ps: add a THONK or SPLAT noise when hitting enemy soldiers

I’d also like to add in AI awareness of its own vehicles.
Nothing is more frustrating as your own teams soldiers either runs across the front of a moving tank or worse yet, run in front of the moving tank and decide to go prone.
Please make your own teams AI aware of its own vehicles to prevent either outright fratricide or causing damage to soldiers who lack spatial awareness, and don’t move out of the way with a more realistic sense of urgency that any sane person would when they realise they’re in the path of a moving tank/vehicle.

what i think is that the AI should be programmed to keep a certain distance away from vehicles, so this doesnt happen, because otherwise if you’re spinning around with a tank, you end up flattening your teammates.
but this wont work if a enemy vehicle is barreling towards you at a insane speed, with a intent of flattening you and your teammates

Keeping a distance from vehicles was practiced and understood by most troops who were actually trained in Inf - Veh fire and maneouvre. Despite the media coverage or photographic recollections tanks were not as common as ppl think they were and more importantly not that many units were actually trained to work with them effectively. It tended to be pretty ad hoc most of the time and many an unfortunate infantry soldier on all sides died under the tracks of a maneouvering vehicle when they got too close…
There is an excellent account in Adelbert Holl’s book An Infantryman in Stalingrad, translated into English by Jason D Mark and Neil Page. In this book, Holl describes and assault on a Soviet position in the battles for the mouth of the Tsarisa in Stalingrad, where he recounts his O-Gp to his platoon where he explains the attachment of two Stug III’s from Sturmgeschutz Abteilung 244. In this account he splits the team to parallel the road the Stugs are moving down and maintain a distance of 100m to prevent injury from ricochets, as the Stugs tended to attract a lot of ATR, HMG and mortar fire.
WRT having players specifically/purposefully target their own troops is another issue yet again.
I am not sure if this is solvable - I’ve seen games that try voting systems or ones that used to have FF turned on so one could deal with a griefer directly, but sadly with respawn systems this just turns into a negative spiral of revenge shootings. So most will just go for voting systems or remove any capacity for damage to own troops.

well for normal games there of course wont be damage, but for custom, and realistic games, the friendly damage is always on
