Now that the campaigns have been merged, vehicles have lost their campaign specific camouflage. Now that vehicles have a set colour across all maps, you now end up seeing a tan coloured puma fighting in Moscow. This not only makes the game look messy, but also provides a gameplay disadvantage to some players; since they are Ill-suited to the surroundings and are thus easier to spot.
Instead, I propose a system whereby the vehicles camo changes depending on the map. It would work in a similar way to a soldiers’ uniform. A system like this would solve the two problems I mentioned above and also allow a much wider range of paint schemes could be added. Campaign specific camouflage should also be given to APCs and motorbikes(I’m not a massive fan of powering around the Russian countryside in an Afrika Korps motorbike). If camo was made faction specific, it should be cheaper, I’m thinking somewhere around 75-100 gold.
Below are the proposed colour schemes for allied and axis vehicles for each campaign.
Mosow
Allies-white
Axis-white
Stalingrad
Allies-white or green
Axis-white or grey/tan
Berlin
Allies-green
Axis-grey/tan
Tunisia
Allies-tan
Axis-tan
Normandy
Allies-green
Axis-grey/tan
Bulge
Allies-white
Axis-white
Pacific
Allies-green
Axis-green
I’m not particularly sure if something should be done about the German grey/tan scenario regarding uniformity.
This kind of topic has been mentioned before, but hopefully the more it is brought up; the higher chance it will be considered by the developers.
Thanks
