I recent post suggests this is the best event ever. This is kind of like the phone company playing music that says ‘be happy’ when you need to phone their BS customer ‘service’. Inasmuch as I understand this event, it is bad, demotivating, and seems a lot like a tedious WT grind.
As a paying customer and regular player, getting an event that asks for 80 machinegun kills or 25 headshots in 24 hours is laborious within that timeframe, especially if I’m busy. Sure, some dweeb on here is going to say, “well, in the midst of my 15k point average game I managed to knock this task off in a match”. I highly doubt this is the average player, and is this the kind of customer you want to only pander to? I played for five hours to get yesterday’s ‘reward’, got the first part and missed that last single win part because I had to go to work for a few hours. Done, deleted, you won’t get enough tickets now.
I mean really what is the point of that? Are you, gaijin trying to promote grind monogaming? The kind of player which prefers to only play one campaign, squad, or even soldier? Nothing wrong with that, but I am alienated from this type because I play my games wide and shallow, across ALL classes, squads, and campaigns. I am being punished for that severely.
This crappy task reminds me of nigh on impossible tasks from WT. They drove me away from the game. And this is the first instance I’ve experienced of Enlisted following suit, and hence the cycle repeats itself.
Unless I totally misunderstand this event.

Just do half a task and GE the rest for a pittance
Its what I’ve been doing the past few days unless it was something simple like bolt or SMG kills

Noob question: What is GE?

i m having issues dealing with this 2 quotes.
the tasks are as easy as one could ask for, and if in 5 hours, i mean… 5 hours of gameplay you cant kill 80(?) guys with a smg mg or what ever, what you even doing ingame all that time?

You are the type of guy I am referring to in the OP. For you it’s no problem.
how hard is for you to make that 80 kills or what ever with a mg?
is it your play style?
new to fps?
i m genuine interested to know why. coz by anymeans this game is neither a hardcore shooter or one that needs countless hours to learn.
is it your playstyle more reserved? dont be afraid to push and kill. its the only way to make yourself better in Enlisted! Dont camp mate! trust me! the more you move, the more squads you gonna cycle and by that the more xp you make and by all means possible you play more, grind faster and as time goes you score hundreds of kills per match…
life in enlisted isnt as valuable as for example in hell let loose. here you gain more, if you press ur W key more

All good questions, I suppose. I am not new to FPS. I am better with a bolt action rifle than with an SMG unless I find a good flanking position. I can’t play long on the frontline for too long bouncing up and down and leaning and spinning around and all that stuff to stay alive. I kind of RP a little bit too, meaning I try to keep my squad alive - camp if I’m a sniper or an eng, but run in if I am infantry or assaulter. Unfortunately for me the game rewards kamikaze and constant pressure over trying to keep alive as a priority, so it runs against my playstyle in a way.
So, you’re saying be more pushy yeah?
ok I don’t understand how it can cost you so much, personally in what I study and all my other activities it takes me at most 1 hour to complete it, in addition to the challenges they pose, it’s simply about killing with such a weapon and that’s it, it’s not difficult.
Yeah, you guys play way differently than I do. My average rank on board at the end of each match is about 4th, with a wider average of 2nd to middle placed. Are you guys about there too or stronger on the board?
yes, be more agressive. Dont be afraid. its a “casual game”
there is not a single reason to try and keep your squad alive. move up, play agressive.
you can always play Lonefighters on Custom matches if you want to role play a more “passive” playstyle and try to be alive the most one can possible get, but in squads (normal game play) dont be afraid to die, rank up kills and be agressive overall.
if you loose, you loose .
i would rather loose with 100+ kills xx xxx XP in a 30 min match, than loosing one for the same time, with 20 kills for xxxx amount of xp.

i understand why you say that.
we notice players like “you” everymatch and we even call them “bot squads” . (dont take it personal here)
you simply just play more concervative, when if you look on the scorebord the first 1 or 2 players are having 100’s of kills and pushing objectives when the rest of the team is still deciding if peeking a tree is the right decision with 5 kills…
dont be afraid to push like a maniac, over a few days/weeks you will be way better doing it and you will see enlisted will shine way more that way
most of the time/batles at 1st position. but we all loose matches

From what I read you are a player, who basically camps and prioritizes the survival of his squad, that’s fine, but if you want to get the rewards of this event, you will have to change that mentality and be more aggressive, I can only tell you that, it’s not my fault of the event or the developers for implementing this mechanic, if not the way you play, be realistic.

also, for good measure, i ill link this video
is not mine, its from a Enlisted Content creator.
this part :
after that, dont be afraid to watch it all.
Well, I am more of a midfielder than a striker or defender. Defining me as a camper only rings true if I am trying to snipe or long-range engineer, which is about 15% the time maybe? For instance, if I see the team is only running in a straight line for the obj and getting constantly slaughtered, that is when I wonder (ironically) if these players are bots since we aren’t moving any closer to victory. At least 40% of the losses I’ve been in have been in matches where players run in straight lines and never put down spawns. Of course if the home team is good enough the straight-in strat works best and fastest, but it’s never a sure thing.
So, I build spawns and try to do flanking or pincer maneuvers, which takes time, takes away kill count, does keep me alive, and suppresses the insane beeline for the cap when allies spawn into new rally points. I’m not sure, but I’ve probably influenced 20% of losses into wins because at least the rally points were down.
Admittedly being in the group with everyone else, unless you’re running into an endless killbox, will be much better for kills.
I’ll check it out, thanks!
you are welcome .
if you trully trully want to “role play” and keep your gameplay as is, you can always try lonefighters on custom matches.
at anyrate, Dont be afraid to spawn another soldier or squad, you just get more xp
Thanks. I’d rather work on my Squad game than touch Lone Fighters again! Last time I played it was so broken, campy, and populated by 90% bots. haha. But I’ll work more on my A Game.
