Vatican singleshot for Tunis

Since the Berdan came to enlisted , Ive been thinking about a suitable gold order rifle also for axis , yet with some kind of interesting history and also for suitable campaign, the last remaining campaign where this rifle would be somewhat suitable is imo tunisia , yet even that is becoming full auto fiesta filled with WP grenades

nevertheless today ive found this gun which is what ive been looking for and you might find nice as well

last gun of the Papal states (before they shrinked to the size of current Vatican)
from Napoleonic times

Remington Rolling block

Nagant brothers also made this rifles under contract for the Papal states and their Papal army specifically regiment dedicated to defending it called papal Zouaves of Pope Pius IX , where they served well sgainst italy until states were seized by italian army in 1870

Italy captured most of the weapons used by Pope Pius IX’s army, and they armed parts of their bersaglieri companies with them
Between 1883 and 1888, the Italians sold 5,000 of these to Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. Years later, these Rolling Blocks saw action in the hands of the Ethiopians against the Italians at the Battle of Adua in 1896.

Again in 1935, Haile Selassie’s army used them against Mussolini’s. A few examples have been recovered by Italian troops from Ethiopia

Remington Rolling block Single shot rifle
lenght: 30 inch barrel (short)
cartridge: 12.7x54mm Remington Pontifico (black powder)
It is very elegant and durable system , also very safe one, highly advanced for its time

so its something like this ? small cal conversion to the regular rifle ?

or it looks like some kind of sporting rifle build for future war purposes but made for so called sporting due to allied restrictions after WW1 ? Nevertheless id really want quite badly such a gun for myself for some target shooting on sunday  ive seem some czech mauser airguns made for army training purposes and some weirdos who owns them asks some crazy money for them today, which is ridiculous, nobody would buy them, only few collectors who dont care what money means… and for those who would want them they will never have a chance to try it out because they are so scarce that it hurts, companies should make such airguns from time to time , in various joules so it can meet law restrictions anywhere
