The Kar 98k kreigsmodell has a sniper variant in the game files, seen here:
I suppose it was never added in the tech tree because the standard Kar 98k sniper is better, but since it already exists I don’t see why it shouldn’t come as an event weapon.
The only real use for this gun would probably be to larp as a late war sniper who has poor quality equipment. Still it would be nice to see for the sake of variety.

Apparently you got too few useless rifles with wraps and golden pistols from the casino boxes and because of this you want to further reduce the probability of good weapons dropping from the boxes
With every new addition of a event weapon the odds of getting an older event weapon goes down, but this doesn’t mean the Devs should just stop adding new event weapons. The Devs should re run a wider variety of event weapons to allow players to get weapons they may have missed, combined with the box this should help players out more than just not adding any new event weapons so the odds stay low.
It was in the game a long, long time ago when Berlin was still new, much like the old Panther F, although I don’t know much more. I hope to see both of them return at some point though.

Damm that’s such a long time ago, it also looks like they never got round to giving it a proper reload animation so he just reloads like the original resident evil 4 by just putting in 1 bullet that magically fills up the magazine.
It would be a good Volkssturm sniper event squad.
