So as you probably know, most tanks have some kind of cupola or hatch above the commanders head. Most countries, or at least those who understood how to design tanks started puting small windows on the side of the cupola. They gave the commander a better view of the battlefield, which made it much easier to command the tank.
Inside the game some tanks represent this well, others don’t. Most of the German tanks have usuable commander cupolas, while the majority of the Allied vehicles only have this shitty looking black screen with a peephole in the middle, seriusly it’s night and day beetween the two.
So please make proper cupolas for the T34’s, Jumbo, Grant (in fact Grant is the worst, cause commander can’t even look out for some mysterious reason), I don’t think that any tank commander would wanna find their way around the battlefield through a peephole.
Your memory is indeed correct. Although I don’t have such high expectations for the developers to actually model tank interiors. I just want to get rid of this messy cupola. It works exactly the other way around as it was designed. It should make the commanders vision wider, but this only makes it narrower.
