I think the US needs to revise the battle ranks of Thompsons a little.
The Thompson’s identity is its high damage, but
it is not suitable for use in a 4th or 5th rank combat environment due to the fundamental slow bullet speed problem.
I think the M21/28 should be moved from 4th rank to 3rd rank,
and the M1928 drum magazine should be moved from 5th rank to 4th rank.
The Soviet Union changed the PPD40 from 5th rank to 4th rank,
and Germany changed the Kiraly M39 from 5th rank to 4th rank.

And then it will dominate Germany just like M1A1 dominates BR2. Better give Germany their Mkb42 (and it’s clones like stg45 and Horn stg) or Kiraly at BR3 as they already are at massive disadvantage vs overpowered ppsh-41 box.
M2 Carbine should be allowed to be used by Assaulters at BR5. And give them NKVD Thompsons 100 at BR5.

I dont really understand how? The thompson 1928A1 is already there, with a higher rate of fire, whatever you keep saying just doesn’t make sense. How is an smg equal to an assault rifle at the same BR?
I think the asymmetry problem of the Soviet PPSH41 box magazine
should be solved by downgrading the PPSH itself rather than trying to solve the ridiculous performance of the PPSH
The performance of the PPSH box magazine is so good that even assault rifles can’t even dare to show their business cards
Insane accuracy, recoil, recoil pattern, etc.

seems to be the M1 Thompson, not the M21/28.
M21/28 has slightly less recoil and much lower dispersion (58 vs 71) compared to M1928A1. It’s much more accurate (it’s actually one of the most accurate SMG in the game).
And tbh, If I had to change something in the Thompson BR, it would be to bring back the M1A1 to BRIII rather than lowering the BR of any other Thompson
M21/28 and PPSh-41 are the biggest winners even if you would bring mkb42 to BR3.
Only at longer ranges Mkb42 could win as it would still 2 hit kill just like Thompsons
PPSh-41 box don’t care about ttk as it will always kill in 2-4 hits none of the Soviets even care how many shots it will take they will just hold it’s lmb for longer and due broken dispersion they can hold it for long and still keep murdering waves of enemies.
