I suggest introducing a squad very similar to the one in the Quentin Tarantino movie in the future for an event or premium purchase.
Add a unique melee weapon to the commander, namely Aldo’s dagger.
The others also special melee weapons, perhaps the same baseball bat.
From the features of the squad: the ability to put any weapon within the class (guerrilla) . In the appearance editor tendrils are there, part of the form is there. Add some similar facial features.
Everyone wants you to play as Antonio Margaretti in the game, right?
and don’t forget about adding a tank with a crew from the movie Fury, 2014
and a supply of shells with white phosphorus
tank M4A3E8 Fury to make an exact copy from the movie and 1 captured stg 44 (available to absolutely all classes of fighters
Wow, you remembered an ancient relic. I guess part of our game audience didn’t watch Fury either, they were little).
By the way, you could add the map from the movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” to the Pacific Ocean.
But that movie is even less remembered. The soundtrack was great.
Yes glad you knew. It’s funny since Fury is more ‘my era’ (I wasnt even alive when Kelly’s Heroes came out).
Yeah Bridge on the River Kwai map would be good. It’s a shame Alec Guinness is only remembered for Star Wars (likewise Peter Cushing).
Side note, if you think Enlisted is painful consider this:
At school camps I wanted the group to whistle the Colonel Bogey March. Except, I can’t whistle, and they didn’t know the song.
I’ve requested a Guns of Navarone Greece/Crete map with a mission to reflect it, likewise The Bridge at Remagen. Also the real life capture of General Kreipe (the film Il Met by Moonlight, based on the memoirs of W. Stanley Moss)
I am Australian, does it show? XD (seriously how did you know? lol. Was it all the requests for New Guinea maps and Tobruk?)
To return to the game, I wonder if Australian independent companies would count for UK/Commonwealth ‘partisan’ squad. They were operating behind enemy lines in Timor for example, pretty much cut off from the rest of the Allied forces. If I recall correctly they rarely even had radio contact with Australia. They were in many ways a private army waging its own war (so kinda meets the definition of a partisan).
A Pacific islander squad would be cool too. Ive previously suggested medics in recognition of the so called ‘fuzzy wuzzy angels’. I believe they mainly acted as stretcher bearers and porters but some islanders did join Allied forces in raids, especially with the prior mentioned independent companies.
Yeah man, I doubt there are any players here who caught this movie in theaters, it’s less than 1%. I’m from the mid-90s myself.
Not all of them, I remember from Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia. In my country, though, they liked Lord of the Rings > Star Wars more.
I whistled it myself, the motif is simple enough, especially in the chorus. I think Colonel Boogie’s March was played in other 80-90’s movies, pretty sure of it.
The only thing I remember from Greece and Crete, in terms of game implementation. Probably MoH series first parts, ps1 eh, good old days
Oh sir, just a deduction. And seriously Maggie Beer gave you away, since I knew nothing about her, it makes sense that it is a local star and indeed it turned out that way. There’s a reason I trained as an investigator before the conflict at home. I haven’t heard your speech or accent but I think I know quite a bit about Australia (not just the upside down jokes) , Although I would visit New Zealand first myself. Your spiders make me anxious xD. Lots of good actors, movies (1 Mad max was epic, still consider it and Evil Dead the best movies made for next to nothing)
Good on ya
There are a few hints of Australia in the game (decorators and by some squads if I’m not mistaken) I don’t think anyone would be against the introduction of Australians or Canadians and other Commonwealth people. But I’ve noticed a pattern. If you do a deep analysis, research and suggest who this or that squad with unique weapons/emblems/uniforms could be and it again gets enough likes and attention, then the chance of implementation is higher. The only question is whether you are willing to do this analysis-collect and issue a big topic on the forum. I would start with engineers. They are essential, especially for newcomers.
Conditionally 27 Australian Regiment, 3rd Engineers Detachment.
The weapons are unique
Uniform
Emblem
Composition
And I think you’ll be successful, but don’t give up.
